but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have chariots fitted with iron and though they are strong, you can drive them out.”

You will also have the central hill country. It’s covered with trees. Cut them down and clear the land. That whole land from one end to the other will belong to you. The Canaanites use chariots that have iron parts. And those people are strong. But you can drive them out.”

窺其地者、間有嫩之子約書亞、耶孚尼子迦勒、自裂其衣、告以色列會眾曰、我所經行、窺察之地、厥土甚美、流乳與蜜、如耶和華悅我、必導我至其地、以之錫我、勿叛耶和華、勿畏其地之民、彼無扞衛、必為我食、耶和華與我偕、勿懼之、

爾出與敵戰、見車馬人民、較爾尤眾、毋畏之、蓋爾上帝耶和華、導爾出埃及者偕爾、臨陳時、祭司當至民前、告之曰、以色列歟、爾其聽之、今日臨敵而戰、毋怯心、毋畏懼、毋戰慄、毋因敵而驚恐、蓋爾上帝耶和華與爾偕往、攻敵拯爾、

耶和華為我光、我之拯救、吾其誰懼兮、耶和華為我生命之保障、吾其誰惕兮、惟彼惡人、我仇我敵、進攻欲食我肉、咸躓而顚兮、

遂簡立加利利之基低斯、在拿弗他利山地、示劍、在以法蓮山地、基列亞巴、即希伯崙、在猶大山地、

勿畏葸、以我偕爾、勿恇怯、以我為爾上帝、我必鞏固爾、輔助爾、以我公義之右手扶持爾、憾爾者必蒙羞抱愧、敵爾者必若無物、而就滅亡、攻爾者、爾將尋而弗得、鬥爾者、必歸烏有、我耶和華爾之上帝、必攜爾右手、謂爾曰、勿懼、我輔助爾、耶和華曰、若蚓之雅各、以色列人歟、勿懼、我必助爾、救贖爾者、乃以色列之聖者也、我將使爾為打穀之新器、利而有齒、以打諸山、至成虀粉、使諸崗如粃糠、爾必簸之、風必揚之、狂風散之、惟爾因耶和華而樂、為以色列之聖者而誇、

皆率軍旅而出、其人多如海沙、車馬甚眾、列王咸集、建營米倫水濱、欲與以色列人戰、耶和華諭約書亞曰、勿緣之而懼、明日此時、我以見殺之眾、付以色列人、爾當斷其馬筋、焚其車輛、

自此山巔、至尼弗多亞泉、及以弗崙山諸邑、延至巴拉、即基列耶琳、

約書亞曰、爾若為大族、以法蓮山地狹小、可往比利洗利乏音地、伐木以居、約瑟裔曰、此地不足容我、而居伯善與其鄉里、及耶斯列谷之迦南人、皆有鐵車、

又自利巴嫩、至米斯利弗瑪音、所有居山之西頓人、我必逐之於以色列人前、當循我命、籤分其地、予以色列人為業、

主曰、慰藉爾者我也、爾何人斯、乃畏必死之世人、懼如草之人子、而忘展布諸天、奠定地基、肇造爾之耶和華、終日因強暴者之怒而懼、以其圖滅爾、其怒安在、
