約書亞又照耶和華的吩咐，在猶大支派所分到的土地之中劃出基列·亞巴，即希伯崙，分給耶孚尼的兒子迦勒。亞巴是亞衲人的祖先。

In accordance with the Lord’s command to him, Joshua gave to Caleb son of Jephunneh a portion in Judah— Kiriath Arba, that is, Hebron.( Arba was the forefather of Anak.)

Joshua gave a part of Judah’s share of land to Caleb, the son of Jephunneh. That was according to the Lord’ s command to Joshua. The share Caleb received was the city of Hebron. It was also called Kiriath Arba. Anak came from the family line of Arba.

According to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua, he gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the people of Judah, Kiriath-arba, that is, Hebron( Arba was the father of Anak).

The Lord commanded Joshua to assign some of Judah’s territory to Caleb son of Jephunneh. So Caleb was given the town of Kiriath arba( that is, Hebron), which had been named after Anak’s ancestor.

He gave Caleb son of Jephunneh the following portion among the descendants of Judah based on the LORD’s instruction to Joshua: Kiriath-arba( that is, Hebron; Arba was the father of Anak).

Now he gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the sons of Judah, in accordance with the command of the Lord to Joshua, namely, Kiriath arba, Arba being the father of Anak( that is, Hebron).

Now to Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a share among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the Lord to Joshua, namely, Kirjath Arba, which is Hebron( Arba was the father of Anak).

And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of Jehovah to Joshua, even Kiriath- arba, which Arba was the father of Anak( the same is Hebron).

He gave Caleb son of Jephunneh the following portion among the descendants of Judah based on the Lord’s instruction to Joshua: Kiriath-arba( that is, Hebron; Arba was the father of Anak).

And unto Caleb the son of Jephunneh he gave a part among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of the LORD to Joshua,[ even] the city of Arba the father of Anak, which[ city is] Hebron.

Caleb son of Jephunneh was assigned Kiriath Arba( that is Hebron) within the tribe of Judah, according to the LORD’s instructions to Joshua.( Arba was the father of Anak.)

He gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh a portion among the children of Judah, according to the commandment of Yahweh to Joshua, even Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak( also called Hebron).

迦勒讓站在摩西面前的民眾安靜，然後說：「我們立刻去佔領那地方吧！我們必能取勝。」

「你們的埋怨惹耶和華發怒，祂起誓說，『這邪惡的一代沒有一人能看見我起誓要賜給他們祖先的佳美之地，只有耶孚尼的兒子迦勒能看見，我必把他所踏之地賜給他和他的後代，因為他全心全意地跟從我。』

那時，猶大支派的人來到吉甲見約書亞，其中有基尼洗族耶孚尼的兒子迦勒。他對約書亞說：「你知道耶和華在加低斯·巴尼亞跟上帝的僕人摩西提到關於你和我的事。我四十歲那年，耶和華的僕人摩西從加低斯·巴尼亞派我來偵察這地方，我如實稟告他。與我同去的弟兄的稟告令以色列人膽戰心驚，但我忠心地追隨我的上帝耶和華。所以，當日摩西就向我起誓，『你腳踏過的地方必永遠歸你和你的子孫作產業，因為你忠心地追隨我的上帝耶和華。』耶和華照祂的應許，讓我又活了四十五年，這些日子都是跟以色列人在曠野一起度過的。看！我現在已經八十五歲了，仍像當年摩西派我出去時那樣身強力壯，跟當年一樣能征善戰。現在，求你照耶和華當日向我應許的，把這山區賜給我。你親耳聽到那裡有亞衲人，他們的城池高大堅固。但如果耶和華與我同在，我必照著祂的應許把這些人趕走。」於是，約書亞便祝福耶孚尼的兒子迦勒，把希伯崙給他，作為他的產業。所以，希伯崙至今仍是基尼洗族耶孚尼的兒子迦勒的產業，因為他忠心地追隨以色列的上帝耶和華。希伯崙從前名叫基列·亞巴，亞巴原是亞衲族中最偉大的人。從此，境內太平，沒有戰爭。
