摩西對他們說：「迦得子孫和呂便子孫，凡帶兵器在耶和華面前去打仗的，若與你們一同渡過約旦河，那地被你們征服以後，你們就要把基列地給他們為業。倘若他們不帶兵器與你們一同渡過去，他們就要在迦南地你們中間得產業。」迦得子孫和呂便子孫回答說：「耶和華怎樣吩咐僕人，我們就必照樣做。我們自己必帶着兵器，在耶和華面前渡過去，進入迦南地，好使我們在約旦河這邊得到我們的產業。」摩西把亞摩利王西宏的國和巴珊王噩的國，就是他們的國土和周圍的城鎮，都給了迦得子孫和呂便子孫，以及約瑟的兒子瑪拿西半個支派。迦得子孫建造了底本、亞他錄、亞羅珥、亞他錄‧朔反、雅謝、約比哈、伯‧寧拉、伯‧哈蘭，都是堅固城，並築有羊圈。呂便子孫建造了希實本、以利亞利、基列亭、尼波、巴力‧免（名字是改了的）、西比瑪；他們給建造的城另起別名。瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉的子孫往基列去，佔了那地，趕出那裏的亞摩利人。摩西把基列賜給瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉，他就住在那裏。瑪拿西的子孫睚珥佔了基列的城鎮，就稱這些城鎮為哈倭特‧睚珥。挪巴佔了基納和基納的鄉鎮，就照自己的名字稱基納為挪巴。

「那時，我們得了這地。從亞嫩谷旁的亞羅珥起，連同基列山區的一半和境內的城鎮，我都給了呂便人和迦得人。基列其餘的地和巴珊全地，就是噩的國度，我給了瑪拿西半支派。亞珥歌伯全境就是巴珊全地，也稱為利乏音人之地。瑪拿西的子孫睚珥佔領了亞珥歌伯全境，直到基述人和瑪迦人的邊界，就按自己的名字稱這些地，就是巴珊，為哈倭特‧睚珥，直到今日。我又將基列給了瑪吉。我給了呂便人和迦得人從基列到亞嫩谷，以谷的中央為界，直到亞捫人邊界的雅博河；還有亞拉巴和靠近約旦河之地，從基尼烈直到亞拉巴海，就是鹽海，以及毗斯迦山斜坡的山腳東邊之地。

以上是摩西在約旦河東，耶利哥對面的摩押平原所分配的產業。只是利未支派，摩西沒有把產業分給他們。耶和華－以色列的上帝是他們的產業，正如耶和華對他們說的。
