( from the Shihor, which is east of Egypt, northward to the boundary of Ekron, it is counted as Canaanite; there are five rulers of the Philistines, those of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron), and those of the Avvim,

and the larger territory of the Canaanites, extending from the stream of Shihor on the border of Egypt, northward to the boundary of Ekron. It includes the territory of the five Philistine rulers of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron. The land of the Avvites

五個非利士王、所有的迦南人、西頓人和住在巴力·黑門山到哈馬口一帶的黎巴嫩山區的希未人。

同樣，來自克里特的迦斐托人消滅了迦薩附近的亞衛人，住在那裡。

非利士人問：「我們該送什麼作賠罪的禮物呢？」他們答道：「你們要按非利士首領的數目，送五個金毒瘡和五隻金鼠，因為你們和你們的首領都遭受了同樣的災難。

含的兒子是古實、麥西、弗、迦南。

以色列人卻沒有趕走基述人和瑪迦人，他們到今天還住在以色列人當中。

「你把以下指示告訴以色列人。「你們進入賜給你們作產業的迦南後，你們四境的疆界如下。「南部疆界從荀曠野沿著以東邊界延伸，東起死海的盡頭，往南至亞克拉濱坡南面，經荀直到加低斯·巴尼亞南面，再延伸至哈薩·亞達，經押們，轉向埃及河，直到地中海。「西部以地中海為界。「北部疆界從地中海開始直到何珥山，再到哈馬口，經西達達、西斐崙直到哈薩·以難。「東部疆界從哈薩·以難一直劃到示番，往南到亞延東面的利比拉，再往南到基尼烈湖東岸。然後沿約旦河南下直到死海。這是你們國土四面的疆界。」摩西又對以色列人說：「這就是耶和華吩咐用抽籤的方式分給你們九個半支派的土地。呂便支派和迦得支派已經按著宗族得到了他們的土地，瑪拿西半個支派也得到了土地。

那五個非利士首領看見了這一切後，就在當天回以革倫去了。非利士人獻給耶和華的金毒瘡是分別為亞實突、迦薩、亞實基倫、迦特和以革倫賠罪的。

迦薩必被拋棄，亞實基倫必淪為廢墟，亞實突的居民必在中午被趕走，以革倫必被連根拔除。住在海邊的基利提人啊，你們有禍了！非利士人的土地——迦南啊，耶和華宣告要毀滅你，使你杳無人煙。

迦南生長子西頓和次子赫，他的後代還有耶布斯人、亞摩利人、革迦撒人、希未人、亞基人、西尼人、亞瓦底人、洗瑪利人和哈馬人。後來迦南各宗族散居在各地。迦南的疆域從西頓向基拉耳延伸，遠至迦薩，再向所多瑪、蛾摩拉、押瑪、洗扁延伸，遠至拉沙。
