倘若你们不把那地的居民从你们面前赶出去，那留下的居民就必成为你们眼中的刺，肋下的荆棘，也必在你们所住的地上扰乱你们；

押沙龙逃到亚米忽的儿子基述王达买那里去了。大卫天天为他儿子悲哀。押沙龙逃到基述去了，在那里住了三年。

你们若断然转离，紧紧跟随你们中间所剩下的这些国家，彼此结亲，互相往来，就要确实知道，耶和华—你们的上帝必不再将他们从你们面前赶出；他们却要成为你们的罗网、圈套、肋上的鞭、眼中的刺，直到你们在耶和华—你们上帝所赐的这美地上灭亡。

次子基利押是作过迦密人拿八的妻子亚比该所生的；三子押沙龙是基述王达买的女儿玛迦所生的；

耶和华的使者从吉甲上到波金，说：“我领你们从埃及上来，带你们到我向你们列祖起誓应许之地。我曾说：‘我永不废弃我与你们的约。你们不可与这地的居民立约，要拆毁他们的祭坛。’你们竟没有听从我的话。你们为何这样做呢！因此我说：‘我必不将他们从你们面前赶出。他们必作你们肋下的荆棘，他们的神明必成为你们的圈套。’”
