to the Canaanites in the east and west; to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites in the hill country; and to the Hivites below Hermon in the region of Mizpah.

Jabin sent the same message to the people of east Canaan and west Canaan. He sent it to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites. They lived in the central hill country. He also sent it to the Hivites who lived below Mount Hermon in the area of Mizpah.

Canaanites came from the east and west; Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, and Jebusites from the hill country; and Hivites from below Hermon in the area of Mizpah.

又叫米斯巴，就是，他說，『我們隔別、彼此不見面時願永恆主在你我之間也鑒察』。

又有基列地、基述人瑪迦人的地界，整個黑門山、整個巴珊、直到撒迦；

至於住耶路撒冷的耶布斯人、猶大人卻不能把他們趕出；耶布斯人就和猶大人同住在耶路撒冷、直到今日。

撒母耳說：『要把以色列眾人集合在米斯巴，我好為你們禱告永恆主。』他們就集合在米斯巴，打水倒在永恆主面前；那一天禁食，在那裏說：『我們犯罪得罪了永恆主了。』撒母耳在米斯巴作士師拯救了以色列人。非利士人聽見以色列人集合在米斯巴，非利士人的霸主們就上來要攻打以色列人；以色列人聽見，就懼怕非利士人。

以色列人彼此對問說：『以色列眾族派中、誰沒有跟大眾上到永恆主面前呢？』因為以色列人曾經起過大誓說：『凡不上米斯巴到永恆主面前的、必須被處死。』

至於我呢，我要住在米斯巴，來侍立在那些將會到我們這裏來的迦勒底人面前；你們呢、務要積聚着酒、油、和夏天的果子，放在器皿裏，住在你們所佔據的城市中。

於是以色列人住在迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人中間，

新婦啊，跟我從利巴嫩來哦！跟我從利巴嫩來哦！你要來，從亞瑪拿山頂、從示尼珥、就是黑門、山頂、從獅子洞，從豹子山、漫遊下來！

北方南方是你創造的；他泊黑門都歡呼你的名。

天使向耶路撒冷伸手要殺滅城裏的人，永恆主就後悔、不降這災，便對那殺滅人民的天使說：『夠了；現在放手吧。』那時永恆主的使者在耶布斯人亞勞拿的禾場附近。

從亞嫩谿谷邊的亞羅珥直到西連山、就是黑門山；

撒母耳將人民招集到米斯巴永恆主那裏；

底連、米斯巴、約帖、

於是以實瑪利從米斯巴所擄了去的眾民都轉身回來，向着加利亞的兒子約哈難走來。

有亞瑪力人住在南地；有赫人耶布斯人亞摩利人住在山地；有迦南人住在海邊、和約但河旁。』

又好比黑門的甘露落在錫安的眾山上；因為在那裏有永恆主命定的賜福，就是活到永遠的生命。

所有跟着他的、就是跟着基大利的猶大人、以及當場在那裏的迦勒底人、以實瑪利都給擊殺了。

以色列人就彼此對問說：『以色列族派中哪一個人沒有上米斯巴到永恆主面前呢？』就查出基列雅比沒有一個人進營到大眾中；

於是亞撒王向猶大眾人公布，不准任何人免役，吩咐他們將巴沙修造拉瑪所用的石頭和木料都運走；亞撒王就用那些材料來修造便雅憫的迦巴以及米斯巴。

『永恆主你的上帝領你進入你正要去而取得為業之地，從你面前肅清了許多國的人、就是赫人、革迦撒人、亞摩利人、迦南人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人、七國的人，都比你多、比你強；

耶利米就到米斯巴去見亞希甘的兒子基大利，在他那裏住在當地剩下的人民中間。

於是以色列眾人都出來，從但到別是巴、以及基列地、會眾都聚集在米斯巴永恆主面前、如同一人。

至於所剩下的眾民、屬於亞摩利人、赫人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人、而不是屬於以色列人的——
