[ And to] the Canaanite on the east and on the west, and[ to] the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Jebusite in the mountains, and[ to] the Hivite under Hermon in the land of Mizpeh.

to the Canaanites in the east and west; to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites in the hill country; and to the Hivites below Hermon in the region of Mizpah.

Jabin sent the same message to the people of east Canaan and west Canaan. He sent it to the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites and Jebusites. They lived in the central hill country. He also sent it to the Hivites who lived below Mount Hermon in the area of Mizpah.

[ Namely], five lords of the Philistines, and all the Canaanites, and the Sidonians, and the Hivites that dwelt in mount Lebanon, from mount Baalhermon unto the entering in of Hamath.

And Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,

And Mizpah; for he said, The LORD watch between me and thee, when we are absent one from another.

And Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and all mount Hermon, and all Bashan unto Salcah;

As for the Jebusites the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out: but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem unto this day.

And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I will pray for you unto the LORD.And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured[ it] out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the LORD. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh.And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard[ it], they were afraid of the Philistines.

And the children of Israel said, Who[ is there] among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the LORD? For they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the LORD to Mizpeh, saying, He shall surely be put to death.

As for me, behold, I will dwell at Mizpah to serve the Chaldeans, which will come unto us: but ye, gather ye wine, and summer fruits, and oil, and put[ them] in your vessels, and dwell in your cities that ye have taken.

And the children of Israel dwelt among the Canaanites, Hittites, and Amorites, and Perizzites, and Hivites, and Jebusites:

Come with me from Lebanon,[ my] spouse, with me from Lebanon: look from the top of Amana, from the top of Shenir and Hermon, from the lions’ dens, from the mountains of the leopards.

The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.

And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.

From Aroer, which[ is] by the bank of the river Arnon, even unto mount Sion, which[ is] Hermon,

And Samuel called the people together unto the LORD to Mizpeh;

And Dilean, and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,

So all the people that Ishmael had carried away captive from Mizpah cast about and returned, and went unto Johanan the son of Kareah.

The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.

As the dew of Hermon,[ and as the dew] that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing,[ even] life for evermore.

Ishmael also slew all the Jews that were with him,[ even] with Gedaliah, at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans that were found there,[ and] the men of war.

And they said, What one[ is there] of the tribes of Israel that came not up to Mizpeh to the LORD? And, behold, there came none to the camp from Jabeshgilead to the assembly.

Then king Asa made a proclamation throughout all Judah; none[ was] exempted: and they took away the stones of Ramah, and the timber thereof, wherewith Baasha had builded; and king Asa built with them Geba of Benjamin, and Mizpah.

When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;

Then went Jeremiah unto Gedaliah the son of Ahikam to Mizpah; and dwelt with him among the people that were left in the land.

Then all the children of Israel went out, and the congregation was gathered together as one man, from Dan even to Beersheba, with the land of Gilead, unto the LORD in Mizpeh.

[ And] all the people[ that were] left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, which[ were] not of the children of Israel,
