It may be that Yahweh will be with me, and I shall drive them out, as Yahweh said.”Joshua blessed him; and he gave Hebron to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for an inheritance.Therefore Hebron became the inheritance of Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite to this day, because he followed Yahweh, the God of Israel wholeheartedly.Now the name of Hebron before was Kiriath Arba, after the greatest man among the Anakim. Now Yahweh your God has given rest to your brothers, as he spoke to them. Therefore now return and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave you beyond the Jordan.

for you haven’t yet come to the rest and to the inheritance which Yahweh your God gives you.But when you go over the Jordan and dwell in the land which Yahweh your God causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety,

He makes wars cease to the end of the earth. He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear. He burns the chariots in the fire.

Joshua made war a long time with all those kings.

I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.

This shall be your west border.“‘ This shall be your north border: from the great sea you shall mark out for yourselves Mount Hor.From Mount Hor you shall mark out to the entrance of Hamath; and the border shall pass by Zedad.Then the border shall go to Ziphron, and it shall end at Hazar Enan. This shall be your north border.“‘ You shall mark out your east border from Hazar Enan to Shepham.The border shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain. The border shall go down, and shall reach to the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward.The border shall go down to the Jordan, and end at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land according to its borders around it.’”Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying,“ This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which Yahweh has commanded to give to the nine tribes, and to the half- tribe;

Observe that which I command you today. Behold, I will drive out before you the Amorite, the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
