“ Do not be afraid of them,” the Lord said to Joshua,“ for I have given you victory over them. Not a single one of them will be able to stand up to you.”

The Lord said to Joshua,“ Do not be afraid of them; I have given them into your hand. Not one of them will be able to withstand you.”

The Lord said to Joshua,“ Do not be afraid of them. I have handed them over to you. Not one of them will be able to fight against you and win.”

And the Lord said to Joshua,“ Do not fear them, for I have given them into your hands. Not a man of them shall stand before you.”

The LORD told Joshua,“ Don’t be afraid of them, for I am handing them over to you. Not one of them can resist you.”

Yahweh said to Joshua,“ Don’t fear them, for I have delivered them into your hands. Not a man of them will stand before you.”

But the Lord told me,‘ Do not be afraid of him, for I have given you victory over Og and his entire army, and I will give you all his land. Treat him just as you treated King Sihon of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon.’

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.“ See, all your angry enemies lie there, confused and humiliated. Anyone who opposes you will die and come to nothing.You will look in vain for those who tried to conquer you. Those who attack you will come to nothing.For I hold you by your right hand— I, the Lord your God. And I say to you,‘ Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.Though you are a lowly worm, O Jacob, don’t be afraid, people of Israel, for I will help you. I am the Lord, your Redeemer. I am the Holy One of Israel.’You will be a new threshing instrument with many sharp teeth. You will tear your enemies apart, making chaff of mountains.

The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.

Then the Lord said to Joshua,“ Do not be afraid of them. By this time tomorrow I will hand all of them over to Israel as dead men. Then you must cripple their horses and burn their chariots.”

No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.“ Be strong and courageous, for you are the one who will lead these people to possess all the land I swore to their ancestors I would give them.Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the instructions Moses gave you. Do not deviate from them, turning either to the right or to the left. Then you will be successful in everything you do.Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.This is my command— be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Then the Lord said to Joshua,“ Do not be afraid or discouraged. Take all your fighting men and attack Ai, for I have given you the king of Ai, his people, his town, and his land.

Then Deborah said to Barak,“ Get ready! This is the day the Lord will give you victory over Sisera, for the Lord is marching ahead of you.” So Barak led his 10,000 warriors down the slopes of Mount Tabor into battle.When Barak attacked, the Lord threw Sisera and all his chariots and warriors into a panic. Sisera leaped down from his chariot and escaped on foot.

“ When you go out to fight your enemies and you face horses and chariots and an army greater than your own, do not be afraid. The Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, is with you!When you prepare for battle, the priest must come forward to speak to the troops.He will say to them,‘ Listen to me, all you men of Israel! Do not be afraid as you go out to fight your enemies today! Do not lose heart or panic or tremble before them.For the Lord your God is going with you! He will fight for you against your enemies, and he will give you victory!’
