The Gibeonites then sent word to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal:“ Do not abandon your servants. Come up to us quickly and save us! Help us, because all the Amorite kings from the hill country have joined forces against us.”

Joshua was in the camp at Gilgal. The people of Gibeon sent a message to him there. They said,“ Don’t desert us. We serve you. Come up to us quickly! Save us! Help us! All the Amorite kings from the central hill country have gathered their armies together to fight against us.”

And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal, saying,“ Do not relax your hand from your servants. Come up to us quickly and save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites who dwell in the hill country are gathered against us.”

The men of Gibeon quickly sent messengers to Joshua at his camp in Gilgal.“ Don’t abandon your servants now!” they pleaded.“ Come at once! Save us! Help us! For all the Amorite kings who live in the hill country have joined forces to attack us.”

Then the men of Gibeon sent word to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal:“ Don’t give up on your servants. Come quickly and save us! Help us, for all the Amorite kings living in the hill country have joined forces against us.”

Then the men of Gibeon sent word to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying,“ Do not abandon your servants; come up to us quickly and save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites that live in the hill country have assembled against us.”

And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying,“ Do not forsake your servants; come up to us quickly, save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites who dwell in the mountains have gathered together against us.”

And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill- country are gathered together against us.

Then the men of Gibeon sent word to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal:“ Don’t abandon your servants. Come quickly and save us! Help us, for all the Amorite kings living in the hill country have joined forces against us.”

And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us.

The men of Gibeon sent this message to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal,“ Do not abandon your subjects! Rescue us! Help us! For all the Amorite kings living in the hill country are attacking us.”

They went to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, and said to him and to the men of Israel,“ We have come from a far country. Now therefore make a covenant with us.”

The children of Israel encamped in Gilgal. They kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the month at evening in the plains of Jericho.

They answered Joshua, and said,“ Because your servants were certainly told how Yahweh your God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you. Therefore we were very afraid for our lives because of you, and have done this thing.Now, behold, we are in your hand. Do to us as it seems good and right to you to do.”

Then she saddled a donkey, and said to her servant,“ Drive, and go forward! Don’t slow down for me, unless I ask you to.”

So I took the heads of your tribes, wise and respected men, and made them heads over you, captains of thousands, captains of hundreds, captains of fifties, captains of tens, and officers, according to your tribes.

As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so Yahweh surrounds his people from this time forward and forever more.

For Yahweh is our judge. Yahweh is our lawgiver. Yahweh is our king. He will save us.

Mary arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah,

Joshua made peace with them, and made a covenant with them, to let them live. The princes of the congregation swore to them.

They gave them Kiriath Arba, named after the father of Anak( also called Hebron), in the hill country of Judah, with its pasture lands around it.
