Then the men of Gibeon sent word to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal:“ Don’t give up on your servants. Come quickly and save us! Help us, for all the Amorite kings living in the hill country have joined forces against us.”

The Gibeonites then sent word to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal:“ Do not abandon your servants. Come up to us quickly and save us! Help us, because all the Amorite kings from the hill country have joined forces against us.”

Joshua was in the camp at Gilgal. The people of Gibeon sent a message to him there. They said,“ Don’t desert us. We serve you. Come up to us quickly! Save us! Help us! All the Amorite kings from the central hill country have gathered their armies together to fight against us.”

And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp in Gilgal, saying,“ Do not relax your hand from your servants. Come up to us quickly and save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites who dwell in the hill country are gathered against us.”

The men of Gibeon quickly sent messengers to Joshua at his camp in Gilgal.“ Don’t abandon your servants now!” they pleaded.“ Come at once! Save us! Help us! For all the Amorite kings who live in the hill country have joined forces to attack us.”

Then the men of Gibeon sent word to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying,“ Do not abandon your servants; come up to us quickly and save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites that live in the hill country have assembled against us.”

And the men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying,“ Do not forsake your servants; come up to us quickly, save us and help us, for all the kings of the Amorites who dwell in the mountains have gathered together against us.”

And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill- country are gathered together against us.

The men of Gibeon sent to Joshua at the camp at Gilgal, saying,“ Don’t abandon your servants! Come up to us quickly and save us! Help us; for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill country have gathered together against us.”

They went to Joshua in the camp at Gilgal and said to him and the men of Israel,“ We have come from a distant land. Please make a treaty with us.”

While the Israelites camped at Gilgal on the plains of Jericho, they observed the Passover on the evening of the fourteenth day of the month.

The Gibeonites answered him,“ It was clearly communicated to your servants that the LORD your God had commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land before you. We greatly feared for our lives because of you, and that is why we did this.Now we are in your hands. Do to us whatever you think is right.”

Then she saddled the donkey and said to her servant,“ Go fast; don’t slow the pace for me unless I tell you.”

“ So I took the leaders of your tribes, wise and respected men, and set them over you as leaders: commanders for thousands, hundreds, fifties, and tens, and officers for your tribes.

The mountains surround Jerusalem and the LORD surrounds his people, both now and forever.

For the LORD is our Judge, the LORD is our Lawgiver, the LORD is our King. He will save us.

In those days Mary set out and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judah

So Joshua established peace with them and made a treaty to let them live, and the leaders of the community swore an oath to them.

They gave them Kiriath-arba( that is, Hebron; Arba was the father of Anak) with its surrounding pasturelands in the hill country of Judah.
