耶和华打发你们离开加低斯．巴尼亚，说：‘你们上去得我赐给你们作产业的地。’那时你们竟违背耶和华你们的神的命令，不相信他，不听从他的话。

迦南人的境界是从西顿伸向基拉耳，直到迦萨；又伸向所多玛、蛾摩拉、押玛、洗扁，直到拉沙。

有主的一位使者对腓利说：“起来，向南走，往那从耶路撒冷下迦萨的路上去。”那条路在旷野里。

那天晚上在基遍，耶和华在梦中向所罗门显现；神说：“你无论求什么，我必赐给你。”

我从前从加低斯．巴尼亚派你们的先祖去窥探那地的时候，他们也是这样行。

犹大人来到吉甲约书亚那里，基尼洗人耶孚尼的儿子迦勒对约书亚说：“耶和华在加低斯．巴尼亚对神人摩西所说关于你和我的话，你是知道的。耶和华的仆人摩西从加低斯．巴尼亚派我去窥探这地的时候，我正四十岁；我照着我心里所想的向他报告。

你们的边界要转到亚克拉滨坡的南边，经过寻，直达加低斯．巴尼亚的南边，又出到哈萨．亚达，过到押们；

他们就非常惧怕。因为基遍是大城，好像一座王城；又因为基遍比艾城大，城里所有的人都是勇士。

那时，就是耶和华把亚摩利人交给以色列人的时候，约书亚在以色列人面前对耶和华说：“太阳啊，停在基遍；月亮啊，停在亚雅仑谷。”

这些金痔疮，就是非利士人偿给耶和华作赔罪的礼物的，一个是为亚实突，一个是为迦萨，一个是为亚实基伦，一个是为迦特，一个是为以革伦。

参孙往迦萨去，在那里看见一个妓女，就进去与她亲近。

亚实基伦看见了，就必害怕；迦萨看见了也必非常痛苦；以革伦因失去盼望而蒙羞。迦萨的王必灭亡，亚实基伦必不再有人居住。

非利士人把他捉住，剜去了他的眼睛，带他下到迦萨，用铜链捆绑着他，他就在监牢里推磨。

他们来到了巴兰旷野的加低斯，见摩西、亚伦和以色列的全体会众，向摩西、亚伦及全体会众报告，又把那地的果子给他们看。
