眾當追敵勿遲、擊其後軍、勿使入邑、蓋爾上帝耶和華付之於爾手。

你们却不可耽延，要追赶你们的仇敌，击杀他们尽后边的人，不容他们进自己的城邑，因为耶和华你们的神已经把他们交在你们手里。”

你们却不可停留，要追赶你们的仇敌，从后面攻击他们，不让他们进到自己的城镇，因为耶和华—你们的上帝已经把他们交在你们手里。”

But don’t stop; pursue your enemies! Attack them from the rear and don’t let them reach their cities, for the Lord your God has given them into your hand.”

我追及敵人、不至殲滅、不旋轅兮、我攻擊之、使仆足下、一蹶不振兮、爾賜以膂力、能於戰鬥、使逆我者敗亡兮、俾我勝寇敵、滅仇讎兮、彼求助於人不見援兵、籲耶和華而弗之應兮、

故一日之間、耶和華絕以色列族之眾、自尊逮卑、自喬木至於叢葦、靡不斬伐、具齒爵、其尊者也、為偽師、其卑者也、

人加害於摩押、耶和華使之然、若有怠志、刃弗飲血、禍必不遠。

如彼入城、以色列族眾、必攜繩至、曳城入河、卷石靡遺。

約書亞與以色列族大敗其敵、至於滅亡、其餘入於邑垣。

先知告民曰、我儕坐此曷故、必會眾入城、在彼默默無語、我獲罪於我之上帝耶和華、使我嘗膽、無詞可述。

大闢告亞庇篩曰、庇革哩子示巴必將貽害、尤甚於押沙龍、爾率爾兄之僕從、追襲其後、恐其入鞏固之城、我不能獲。
