日不運行、月亦暫止、待以色列民報仇。是事耶述紀亦載之。日不運行於天中、其不速下者竟日。

於是日停月止、待民向敵復仇、是事載於雅煞珥書、日停天中不速入、約一終日、

So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.

看哪，我要使亚哈斯日晷上随太阳前进的影子，往后退十度。”于是，在日晷上照下来的日影果然往后退了十度。

因你的箭射出光芒，你的枪闪出光耀，日月都停在原处。

并吩咐人把这首“弓歌”教导犹大人，看哪，它写在《雅煞珥书》上：

在它们面前，地动天摇，日月昏暗，星宿无光。

所以《耶和华的战记》中提到：“苏法的哇哈伯，亚嫩河谷，

“你要为以色列人向米甸人报仇，然后归到你祖先那里。”

日月昏暗，星宿无光。

那时，月亮要蒙羞，太阳要惭愧，因为万军之耶和华必在锡安山，在耶路撒冷作王，在他众长老面前彰显荣耀。

太阳月亮啊，要赞美他！放光的星宿啊，都要赞美他！

那城内不用日月光照，因为有上帝的荣耀光照，又有羔羊为城的灯。

参孙求告耶和华说：“主耶和华啊，求你眷念我。上帝啊，就这一次，求你赐给我力量，使我向非利士人报那挖我双眼的仇。”

它们的声浪传遍天下，它们的言语传到地极。上帝在其中为太阳安设帐幕，

“以色列有领袖率领，百姓甘心牺牲自己，你们当称颂耶和华！

称谢那造成大光的，因他的慈爱永远长存。他造太阳管白昼，因他的慈爱永远长存。他造月亮星宿管黑夜，因他的慈爱永远长存。

白昼属你，黑夜也属你；亮光和太阳是你预备的。地的一切疆界是你立的，夏天和冬天是你定的。

在这日以前，这日以后，耶和华听人的声音，没有像这日的，这是因为耶和华为以色列作战。

他们在以色列人面前逃跑。正在伯‧和仑下坡的时候，耶和华从天上降下大冰雹在他们身上，直降到亚西加，打死他们。被冰雹打死的，比以色列人用刀杀死的还多。

这谕旨的抄本以敕令的方式在各省颁布，通知各族，使犹太人预备等候那日，好在仇敌身上报仇。

太阳要变为黑暗，月亮要变为血，这都在耶和华大而可畏的日子未到以前。

“那些日子的灾难一过去，太阳要变黑，月亮也不放光，众星要从天上坠落，天上的万象都要震动。

第四位天使把碗倾倒在太阳上，使太阳可用火烤人。人被炎热所烤，就亵渎那有权掌管这些灾难的上帝的名，他们没有悔改，也没有把荣耀归给上帝。

这样，你们就可以作天父的儿女了。因为他叫太阳照好人，也照坏人；降雨给义人，也给不义的人。

大声喊着说：“神圣真实的主宰啊，你不审判住在地上的人，为我们所流的血伸冤，要到几时呢？”

上帝的选民昼夜呼吁他，他岂会延迟不给他们伸冤吗？

太阳要变为黑暗，月亮要变为血，这都在主大而光荣的日子未到以前。

羔羊揭开第六个印的时候，我看见地大震动，太阳变黑像粗麻布，整个月亮变红像血，

第四位天使吹号，太阳的三分之一、月亮的三分之一、星辰的三分之一都被击打，以致日月星的三分之一变黑了，白昼的三分之一没有光，黑夜也是这样。
