As the Amorites retreated down the road from Beth horon, the Lord destroyed them with a terrible hailstorm from heaven that continued until they reached Azekah. The hail killed more of the enemy than the Israelites killed with the sword.

As they fled before Israel on the road down from Beth Horon to Azekah, the Lord hurled large hailstones down on them, and more of them died from the hail than were killed by the swords of the Israelites.

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Lift your hand toward the sky so hail may fall on the people, the livestock, and all the plants throughout the land of Egypt.”So Moses lifted his staff toward the sky, and the Lord sent thunder and hail, and lightning flashed toward the earth. The Lord sent a tremendous hailstorm against all the land of Egypt.Never in all the history of Egypt had there been a storm like that, with such devastating hail and continuous lightning.It left all of Egypt in ruins. The hail struck down everything in the open field— people, animals, and plants alike. Even the trees were destroyed.The only place without hail was the region of Goshen, where the people of Israel lived.

And the Lord will make his majestic voice heard. He will display the strength of his mighty arm. It will descend with devouring flames, with cloudbursts, thunderstorms, and huge hailstones.

Thick clouds shielded the brightness around him and rained down hail and burning coals.The Lord thundered from heaven; the voice of the Most High resounded amid the hail and burning coals.He shot his arrows and scattered his enemies; great bolts of lightning flashed, and they were confused.

There was a terrible hailstorm, and hailstones weighing as much as seventy five pounds fell from the sky onto the people below. They cursed God because of the terrible plague of the hailstorm.

The clouds poured down rain; the thunder rumbled in the sky. Your arrows of lightning flashed.Your thunder roared from the whirlwind; the lightning lit up the world! The earth trembled and shook.

Then the Lord rained down fire and burning sulfur from the sky on Sodom and Gomorrah.

Tell these whitewashers that their wall will soon fall down. A heavy rainstorm will undermine it; great hailstones and mighty winds will knock it down.

The stars fought from heaven. The stars in their orbits fought against Sisera.

He will rain down blazing coals and burning sulfur on the wicked, punishing them with scorching winds.

Then, in heaven, the Temple of God was opened and the Ark of his covenant could be seen inside the Temple. Lightning flashed, thunder crashed and roared, and there was an earthquake and a terrible hailstorm.
