“ Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them— to the Israelites.

“ My servant Moses is dead. Now then, I want you and all these people to get ready to go across the Jordan River. I want all of you to go into the land I am about to give to the Israelites.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now you and all the people prepare to cross over the Jordan to the land I am giving the Israelites.

“ Moses My servant is dead; so now arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.

你却要吩咐约书亚，勉励他，使他壮胆，因为他必在这百姓前面过去，使他们承受你所要观看之地。’

“你们要走遍营中，吩咐百姓说：‘当预备食物，因为三日之内你们要过这约旦河，进去得耶和华—你们上帝赐给你们为业之地。’”

看哪，我的仆人，我所扶持、所拣选、心里所喜悦的！我已将我的灵赐给他，他必将公理传给万邦。

摩西召了约书亚来，在以色列众人眼前对他说：“你当刚强壮胆！因为你要和这百姓一同进入耶和华向他们列祖起誓要给他们的地，你也要使他们承受那地为业。

耶和华的仆人摩西死了以后，耶和华对摩西的助手嫩的儿子约书亚说：

“愿耶和华，赐万人气息的上帝，立一个人治理会众，可以在他们面前出入，引导他们进出，免得耶和华的会众如同没有牧人的羊群一般。”耶和华对摩西说：“嫩的儿子约书亚是一个有圣灵的人；你要领他来，为他按手，使他站在以利亚撒祭司和全会众面前，在他们眼前委派他，又将你的尊荣给他一些，好使以色列全会众都听从他。他要站在以利亚撒祭司面前；以利亚撒要凭乌陵的判断，在耶和华面前为他求问。他和以色列全会众都要照以利亚撒的指示出入。”

摩西作为仆人，向上帝的全家尽忠，为将来要谈论的事作证；但是基督作为儿子，治理上帝的家。我们若坚持因盼望而有的胆量和夸耀，我们就是他的家了。

一方面，那些成为祭司的数目本来多，是因为受死亡限制不能长久留住。另一方面，这位既是永远留住的，他具有不可更换的祭司职任。
