“ Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them— to the Israelites.

“ My servant Moses is dead. Now then, I want you and all these people to get ready to go across the Jordan River. I want all of you to go into the land I am about to give to the Israelites.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now you and all the people prepare to cross over the Jordan to the land I am giving the Israelites.

你卻要囑咐約書亞，勉勵他，使他膽壯；因為他必在這百姓前面過去，使他們承受你所要觀看之地。』

「你們要走遍營中，吩咐百姓說：『當預備食物；因為三日之內你們要過這約旦河，進去得耶和華－你們神賜你們為業之地。』」

看哪，我的僕人－我所扶持所揀選、心裏所喜悅的！我已將我的靈賜給他；他必將公理傳給外邦。

摩西召了約書亞來，在以色列眾人眼前對他說：「你當剛強壯膽！因為，你要和這百姓一同進入耶和華向他們列祖起誓應許所賜之地；你也要使他們承受那地為業。

耶和華的僕人摩西死了以後，耶和華曉諭摩西的幫手，嫩的兒子約書亞，說：

「願耶和華萬人之靈的神，立一個人治理會眾，可以在他們面前出入，也可以引導他們，免得耶和華的會眾如同沒有牧人的羊羣一般。」耶和華對摩西說：「嫩的兒子約書亞是心中有聖靈的；你將他領來，按手在他頭上，使他站在祭司以利亞撒和全會眾面前，囑咐他，又將你的尊榮給他幾分，使以色列全會眾都聽從他。他要站在祭司以利亞撒面前；以利亞撒要憑烏陵的判斷，在耶和華面前為他求問。他和以色列全會眾都要遵以利亞撒的命出入。」

摩西為僕人，在神的全家誠然盡忠，為要證明將來必傳說的事。但基督為兒子，治理神的家；我們若將可誇的盼望和膽量堅持到底，便是他的家了。

那些成為祭司的，數目本來多，是因為有死阻隔，不能長久。這位既是永遠常存的，他祭司的職任就長久不更換。
