“ Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them— to the Israelites.

“ My servant Moses is dead. Now then, I want you and all these people to get ready to go across the Jordan River. I want all of you to go into the land I am about to give to the Israelites.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.

你却要吩咐约书亚，坚固他，鼓励他，因为他要在这人民前面过河去，使他们承受你看见的这地。’

“你们要走遍营中，吩咐人民说：‘你们要预备粮食，因为三天之内，你们要过这约旦河，进去得耶和华你们的神要赐给你们作产业的地。’”

看哪！这是我的仆人，我扶持他；我所拣选的，我的心喜悦他；我已经把我的灵赐给他，他必把公理带给万国。

摩西把约书亚召了来，在以色列众人面前对他说：“你要坚强勇敢，因为你要和这人民一同进入耶和华向他们的列祖起誓，应许要赐给他们的地；你也要使他们得着那地为业。

耶和华的仆人摩西死了以后，耶和华吩咐摩西的侍从，嫩的儿子约书亚，说：

“愿耶和华万人之灵的神，立一个人治理会众，可以在他们面前出入；带领他们出入，免得耶和华的会众好像没有牧人的羊一样。”耶和华对摩西说：“你要拣选嫩的儿子约书亚，他心里有圣灵，你要按手在他头上，叫他站在以利亚撒祭司和全体会众面前，当他们的面委派他。你要把你的尊荣给他几分，好叫以色列全体会众都听从他。他要站在以利亚撒祭司面前，以利亚撒要藉着乌陵的判断，在耶和华面前为他求问；他和以色列众人，就是全体会众，都要按着以利亚撒的命令出入。”

摩西不过是个仆人，在神的全家尽忠，为以后要传讲的事作证；但是基督却是儿子，管理自己的家。如果我们把坦然无惧的心和可夸的盼望持守到底，我们就是他的家了。

一方面，从前那些作祭司的，因为受死亡的限制，不能长久留任，所以人数众多。另一方面，因为耶稣是永远长存的，就拥有他永不更改的祭司职位。
