“ Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them— to the Israelites.

“ My servant Moses is dead. Now then, I want you and all these people to get ready to go across the Jordan River. I want all of you to go into the land I am about to give to the Israelites.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now you and all the people prepare to cross over the Jordan to the land I am giving the Israelites.

“ Moses My servant is dead; so now arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.

你要委任约书亚，勉励他，支持他，因为他必带领以色列人过河，占领你眺望的那片土地。’

“你们要走遍全营，吩咐大家预备好食物。因为三天之内，你们就要过约旦河，去占领你们的上帝耶和华赐给你们的土地。”

“看啊，我所扶持、所拣选、所喜悦的仆人，我已将我的灵赐给祂，祂必将正义带给万邦。

摩西把约书亚叫来，当着全体以色列人的面对他说：“你要刚强勇敢！因为你要带领百姓进入耶和华起誓赐给他们祖先的土地，把土地分给他们。

耶和华的仆人摩西死了以后，耶和华对摩西的助手——嫩的儿子约书亚说：

“耶和华啊，你是赐人生命的上帝，求你立一个人做会众的首领，带领他们或进或退，免得你的会众像没有牧人的羊群。”耶和华对摩西说：“嫩的儿子约书亚心里有圣灵，你把他召来，按手在他身上，让他站在以利亚撒祭司和全体会众面前，当着他们的面任命他做首领，把你的权柄赐给他，使以色列全体会众都听从他。遇到事情，他要去以利亚撒祭司那里，让祭司借着乌陵为他求问我。他和全体会众或进或出都要听从以利亚撒的指示。”

摩西以仆人的身份向上帝的全家尽忠，为将来要宣告的事做见证。但基督是以儿子的身份忠心治理上帝的家。我们若坚强勇敢，持定引以为荣的盼望，我们就是祂的家了。

以前做祭司的人数极多，但因为受死亡的限制，都不能长久担任圣职。然而，基督永远活着，祂的祭司职位也永不更改。
