列国为什么争闹？万民为什么图谋虚妄？世上的君王都站稳，臣宰一同算计，要对抗耶和华，对抗他的受膏者：“我们要挣脱他们的捆绑，脱去他们的绳索。”那坐在天上的必讥笑，主必嗤笑他们。那时，他要在怒中责备他们，在烈怒中惊吓他们：“我已经在锡安—我的圣山膏立了我的君王。”

起来，这是你当办的事，我们必支持你，你当奋勇而行。”

你们总要谨慎，不可拒绝那向你们说话的，因为那些拒绝了在地上警戒他们的，尚且不能逃罪，何况我们违背那从天上警戒我们的呢？

我岂没有吩咐你吗？你当刚强壮胆，不要惧怕，也不要惊惶，因为你无论往哪里去，耶和华你的上帝必与你同在。”

任何人干犯摩西的律法，凭两个或三个证人，尚且必须处死，不得宽赦，更何况践踏上帝儿子的人，他们将那使他成圣之约的血当作不洁净，又亵慢施恩的圣灵的人，你们想，他不该受更严厉的惩罚吗？

至于我那些仇敌，不要我作他们王的，把他们拉来，在我面前杀了！’”

最后，你们要靠着主，依赖他的大能大力作刚强的人。

若有人擅自行事，不听从那侍立在耶和华—你上帝那里事奉的祭司，或不听从审判官，那人就要处死。这样，你就把恶从以色列中除掉。

你们要警醒，在信仰上要站稳，要勇敢，要刚强。

在上有权柄的，人人要顺服，因为没有权柄不是来自上帝的。掌权的都是上帝所立的。所以，抗拒掌权的就是抗拒上帝所立的；抗拒的人必自招审判。作官的原不是要使行善的惧怕，而是要使作恶的惧怕。你愿意不惧怕掌权的吗？只要行善，你就可得他的称赞；因为他是上帝的用人，是与你有益的。你若作恶，就该惧怕，因为他不是徒然佩剑；他是上帝的用人，为上帝的愤怒，报应作恶的。所以，你们必须顺服，不但是因上帝的愤怒，也是因着良心。

百姓对撒母耳说：“那说‘扫罗岂能作我们的王’的是谁呢？把他们交出来，我们好处死他们。”
