until the Lord gives them rest, as he has done for you, and until they too have taken possession of the land the Lord your God is giving them. After that, you may go back and occupy your own land, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave you east of the Jordan toward the sunrise.”

until the Lord gives them rest. In the same way, he has already given you rest. You must help them until they also have taken over their land. It’s the land the Lord your God is giving them. After that, you can come back here. Then you can live in your own land. It’s the land that Moses, the servant of the Lord, gave you east of the Jordan River. It’s toward the sunrise.”

Now Yahweh your God has given rest to your brothers, as he spoke to them. Therefore now return and go to your tents, to the land of your possession, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave you beyond the Jordan.Only take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of Yahweh commanded you, to love Yahweh your God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commandments, to hold fast to him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.”So Joshua blessed them, and sent them away; and they went to their tents.Now to the one half- tribe of Manasseh Moses had given inheritance in Bashan; but Joshua gave to the other half among their brothers beyond the Jordan westward. Moreover when Joshua sent them away to their tents, he blessed them,and spoke to them, saying,“ Return with much wealth to your tents, with very much livestock, with silver, with gold, with bronze, with iron, and with very much clothing. Divide the plunder of your enemies with your brothers.”The children of Reuben and the children of Gad and the half- tribe of Manasseh returned, and departed from the children of Israel out of Shiloh, which is in the land of Canaan, to go to the land of Gilead, to the land of their possession, which they owned, according to the commandment of Yahweh by Moses.

each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.

When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. When one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

but we ourselves will be ready armed to go before the children of Israel, until we have brought them to their place. Our little ones shall dwell in the fortified cities because of the inhabitants of the land.We will not return to our houses until the children of Israel have all received their inheritance.For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on this side of the Jordan eastward.”Moses said to them:“ If you will do this thing, if you will arm yourselves to go before Yahweh to the war,and every one of your armed men will pass over the Jordan before Yahweh until he has driven out his enemies from before him,and the land is subdued before Yahweh; then afterward you shall return, and be clear of obligation to Yahweh and to Israel. Then this land shall be your possession before Yahweh.

For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t know what I will choose.But I am hard pressed between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.Yet to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.Having this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you all for your progress and joy in the faith,that your rejoicing may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.

Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.
