舟長舟長或作舵師就之曰、何為酣寢、起、禱爾之神、庶乎神眷顧我儕、以免死亡、

今爾當告猶大人、及耶路撒冷居民曰、主如是云、我為爾備禍、意欲降災於爾、爾當各改惡行、所行所為、悉當從善、

故當結果以彰悔改、

如惡人悛改所行之惡、為義行善、必保其生命、因其忖思悛改所作之罪愆、必生存不死、

故爾當悔改反正、使爾罪得抹、

乃先於大瑪色、次於耶路撒冷及猶太徧地、後在異邦、勸人當悔改、歸天主、而行事以彰悔改、

主歟、我在深淵呼籲主、求主俯聽我聲、側耳聽我懇求之聲、

如惡人悛改所作之罪、守我律例、為義行善、必生不死、其所作之愆尤、不復追憶、因其所行之善、必得生存、主天主曰、我豈以惡人之死亡為悅乎、我豈不以其悛改惡行而得生存為悅乎、如善人離善作惡、循惡人所行諸可憎之事而行、豈得生存乎、其所行之諸善、不復追憶、必因所作之慝、所犯之罪死亡、

爾告之曰、主天主曰、我指己永生而誓、我不以惡人死亡為悅、惟以惡人悛改其惡行、而得生存為悅、以色列族歟、悛改、悛改、離爾惡行、何為自取死亡、○

釋兇暴之繩、解欺壓之索、釋受虐者、折一切壓人之軛、如是之禁食、始為我所悅、

故請王容我諫勸、王當行義以贖罪、矜恤貧乏以贖愆、庶幾恆久綏安、
