约伯就坐在灰烬中，拿瓦片刮身体。

但是他赐更多的恩典，正如经上说：“神抵挡骄傲的人，但赐恩给谦卑的人。”所以，要顺服神。要抵挡魔鬼，魔鬼就必逃避你们；要亲近神，神就必亲近你们。有罪的人哪，要洁净你们的手！心怀二意的人哪，要清洁你们的心！你们要愁苦，悲哀，哭泣；要将欢笑变为悲哀，欢乐变为愁闷。要在主面前谦卑，他就使你们高升。

你要对君王和太后说：“你们当自卑，坐下；因你们的王冠，就是你们华美的冠冕已经掉落了。”

卑微的弟兄要因高升而夸耀，富足的却要因被降卑而夸耀，因为富足的人要消逝，如同草上的花一样。

我面向主神，禁食，披麻蒙灰，恳切祷告祈求。

“哥拉汛哪，你有祸了！伯赛大啊，你有祸了！因为在你们中间所行的异能，若行在推罗、西顿，他们早已披麻蒙灰，坐在地上悔改了。

我的百姓啊，应当腰束麻布，滚在灰中。要悲伤，如丧独子般痛痛哭号，因为灭命的忽然临到我们。

“哥拉汛哪，你有祸了！伯赛大啊，你有祸了！因为在你们中间所行的异能若行在推罗、西顿，他们早已披麻蒙灰悔改了。

因此我撤回，在尘土和炉灰中懊悔。”

不要在迦特宣扬这事，千万不要哭泣；却要在伯‧亚弗拉翻滚于灰尘中。

现在，君王啊，应当谨慎！世上的审判官哪，要听劝戒！当存敬畏的心事奉耶和华，又当战兢而快乐。当亲吻儿子，免得他发怒，你们就在半途中灭亡，因为他的怒气快要发作。凡投靠他的，都是有福的。

让他脸伏于地吧！或者还会有指望。
