你們要使禁食的日子分別為聖，宣告嚴肅會，召集長老和這地所有的居民來到耶和華－你們神的殿，向耶和華哀求。

約沙法懼怕，就定意尋求耶和華，在全猶大宣告禁食。

我面向主神，禁食，披麻蒙灰，懇切禱告祈求。

所以，諸位可以放心，我信神怎樣對我說，事情也要怎樣成就；

信就是對所盼望之事有把握，對未見之事有確據。

所有的人，從小到大都聽從他，說：「這個人就是神的能力，那稱為大能者的。」
