They have cut off my life in the dungeon, and have cast a stone on me.Waters flowed over my head. I said,“ I am cut off.”I called on your name, Yahweh, out of the lowest dungeon.You heard my voice:“ Don’t hide your ear from my sighing, and my cry.”

Out of the depths I have cried to you, Yahweh.Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.

Behold, he will kill me. I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my ways before him.

He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.

Therefore Yahweh brought on them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh in chains, bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon.When he was in distress, he begged Yahweh his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.He prayed to him; and he was entreated by him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God.

Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

Yahweh, in trouble they have visited you. They poured out a prayer when your chastening was on them.
