He said to them,“ I am a Hebrew! And I worship the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

He answered,“ I am a Hebrew and I worship the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

He answered,“ I’m a Hebrew. I worship the Lord. He is the God of heaven. He made the sea and the dry land.”

And he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

Jonah answered,“ I am a Hebrew, and I worship the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the land.”

He answered them,“ I’m a Hebrew. I worship the LORD, the God of the heavens, who made the sea and the dry land.”

So he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord God of heaven who made the sea and the dry land.”

So he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

And he said unto them, I am a Hebrew; and I fear Jehovah, the God of heaven, who hath made the sea and the dry land.

He answered them,“ I’m a Hebrew. I worship Yahweh, the God of the heavens, who made the sea and the dry land.”

And he said unto them, I[ am] an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry[ land].

He said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear Yahweh, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land.”

The sea is his, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land.Come! Let’s bow down and worship! Let’s kneel before the LORD, our creator!

When I heard these things I sat down abruptly, crying and mourning for several days. I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

“ Thus says King Cyrus of Persia:“‘ The LORD God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has instructed me to build a temple for him in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

You alone are the LORD. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, along with all their multitude of stars, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You impart life to them all, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.

Just then a major earthquake took place and a tenth of the city collapsed; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

A fugitive came and told Abram the Hebrew. Now Abram was living by the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, the brother of Eshcol and Aner.( All these were allied by treaty with Abram.)

Give thanks to the God of heaven, for his loyal love endures!

So one of the priests whom they had deported from Samaria went back and settled in Bethel. He taught them how to worship the LORD.

When they first moved in, they did not worship the LORD. So the LORD sent lions among them and the lions were killing them.

How blessed is the one whose helper is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,the one who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who remains forever faithful,

Then Satan answered the LORD,“ Is it for nothing that Job fears God?

“ Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, a scribe of the perfect law of the God of heaven:I have now issued a decree that anyone in my kingdom from the people of Israel– even the priests and Levites– who wishes to do so may go up with you to Jerusalem.

For as I went around and observed closely your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription:‘ To an unknown god.’ Therefore what you worship without knowing it, this I proclaim to you.The God who made the world and everything in it, who is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by human hands,nor is he served by human hands, as if he needed anything, because he himself gives life and breath and everything to everyone.

They responded to us in the following way:‘ We are servants of the God of heaven and earth. We are rebuilding the temple which was previously built many years ago. A great king of Israel built it and completed it.

He asked them to pray for mercy from the God of heaven concerning this mystery so that he and his friends would not be destroyed along with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.Then in a night vision the mystery was revealed to Daniel. So Daniel praised the God of heaven,

she called for her household servants and said to them,“ See, my husband brought in a Hebrew man to us to humiliate us. He tried to have sex with me, but I screamed loudly.

They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their sufferings and because of their sores, but nevertheless they still refused to repent of their deeds.

Who will not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name, because you alone are holy? All nations will come and worship before you for your righteous acts have been revealed.”

“ Men, why are you doing these things? We too are men, with human natures just like you! We are proclaiming the good news to you, so that you should turn from these worthless things to the living God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and everything that is in them.

I was circumcised on the eighth day, from the people of Israel and the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews. I lived according to the law as a Pharisee.

The king responded,“ What is it you are seeking?” Then I quickly prayed to the God of heaven

For last night an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve came to me

Afterward, the Israelites will turn and seek the LORD their God and their Davidic king. Then they will submit to the LORD in fear and receive his blessings in the future.

At the same time they worshiped the LORD. They appointed some of their own people to serve as priests in the shrines on the high places.They were worshiping the LORD and at the same time serving their own gods in accordance with the practices of the nations from which they had been deported.To this very day they observe their earlier practices. They do not worship the LORD; they do not obey the rules, regulations, law, and commandments that the LORD gave the descendants of Jacob, whom he renamed Israel.The Lord made an agreement with them and instructed them,“ You must not worship other gods. Do not bow down to them, serve them, or offer sacrifices to them.

In the days of those kings the God of heaven will raise up an everlasting kingdom that will not be destroyed and a kingdom that will not be left to another people. It will break in pieces and bring about the demise of all these kingdoms. But it will stand forever.
