So he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord God of heaven who made the sea and the dry land.”

約拿回答說：「我是希伯來人，我敬畏耶和華，祂是創造海洋陸地、掌管諸天的上帝。」

他回答說：“我是希伯來人，我敬畏耶和華天上的神，就是那創造海洋和陸地的。”

他對他們說：『我是個希伯來人；我敬畏的是耶和華，天上的上帝、那造大海和旱地的。』

約拿對他們說：「我是希伯來人；我敬畏耶和華天上的神；他就是造了海和陸地的那一位。」

He answered,“ I am a Hebrew and I worship the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

He answered,“ I’m a Hebrew. I worship the Lord. He is the God of heaven. He made the sea and the dry land.”

And he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

Jonah answered,“ I am a Hebrew, and I worship the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the land.”

He answered them,“ I’m a Hebrew. I worship the LORD, the God of the heavens, who made the sea and the dry land.”

So he said to them,“ I am a Hebrew; and I fear the Lord, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

And he said unto them, I am a Hebrew; and I fear Jehovah, the God of heaven, who hath made the sea and the dry land.

He answered them,“ I’m a Hebrew. I worship Yahweh, the God of the heavens, who made the sea and the dry land.”

And he said unto them, I[ am] an Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry[ land].

He said to them,“ I am a Hebrew! And I worship the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.”

He said to them,“ I am a Hebrew, and I fear Yahweh, the God of heaven, who has made the sea and the dry land.”

The sea is His, for it was He who made it, And His hands formed the dry land.Come, let’s worship and bow down, Let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Now when I heard these words, I sat down and wept and mourned for days; and I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

“ This is what Cyrus king of Persia says:‘ The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has appointed me to rebuild for Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

You alone are the Lord. You have made the heavens, The heaven of heavens with all their lights, The earth and everything that is on it, The seas and everything that is in them. You give life to all of them, And the heavenly lights bow down before You.

And at that time there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Then a survivor came and told Abram the Hebrew. Now he was residing by the oaks of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol and brother of Aner, and they were allies with Abram.

Give thanks to the God of heaven, For His faithfulness is everlasting.

So one of the priests whom they had led into exile from Samaria came and lived in Bethel, and taught them how they were to fear the Lord.

And at the beginning of their living there, they did not fear the Lord; therefore the Lord sent lions among them that were killing some of them.

Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, Whose hope is in the Lord his God,Who made heaven and earth, The sea and everything that is in them; Who keeps faith forever;

Then Satan answered the Lord,“ Does Job fear God for nothing?

“ Artaxerxes, king of kings, to Ezra the priest, the scribe of the Law of the God of heaven, perfect peace. And nowI have issued a decree that any of the people of Israel and their priests and the Levites in my kingdom who are willing to go to Jerusalem, may go with you.

For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription,‘ TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore, what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you.The God who made the world and everything that is in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made by hands;nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things;

So they answered us as follows, saying,‘ We are the servants of the God of heaven and earth, and are rebuilding the temple that was built many years ago, which a great king of Israel built and finished.

so that they might request compassion from the God of heaven concerning this secret, so that Daniel and his friends would not be killed with the rest of the wise men of Babylon.Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven;

she called to the men of her household and said to them,“ See, he has brought in a Hebrew to us to make fun of us; he came in to me to sleep with me, and I screamed.

and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pain and their sores; and they did not repent of their deeds.

Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For all the nations will come and worship before You, For Your righteous acts have been revealed.”

and saying,“ Men, why are you doing these things? We are also men, of the same nature as you, preaching the gospel to you, to turn from these useless things to a living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them.

circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee;

Then the king said to me,“ What would you request?” So I prayed to the God of heaven.

For this very night an angel of the God to whom I belong, whom I also serve, came to me,

Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek the Lord their God and David their king; and they will come trembling to the Lord and to His goodness in the last days.

They also feared the Lord and appointed from their entire population priests of the high places, who acted for them in the houses of the high places.They feared the Lord, yet they were serving their own gods in accordance with the custom of the nations from among whom they had been taken into exile.To this day they act in accordance with the earlier customs: they do not fear the Lord, nor do they follow their statutes, their ordinances, the Law, or the commandments which the Lord commanded the sons of Jacob, whom He named Israel.The Lord made a covenant with them and commanded them, saying,“ You shall not fear other gods, nor bow down to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them.

And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.
