眾相語曰、其來、我儕掣籤、俾知我遭此禍、伊誰之故、遂掣籤而得約拿、

Then the sailors said to each other,“ Come, let us cast lots to find out who is responsible for this calamity.” They cast lots and the lot fell on Jonah.

Here is what the sailors said to one another.“ Someone is to blame for getting us into all this trouble. Come. Let’s cast lots to find out who it is.” So they did. And Jonah was picked.

And they said to one another,“ Come, let us cast lots, that we may know on whose account this evil has come upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

Then the crew cast lots to see which of them had offended the gods and caused the terrible storm. When they did this, the lots identified Jonah as the culprit.

“ Come on!” the sailors said to each other.“ Let’s cast lots. Then we’ll know who is to blame for this trouble we’re in.” So they cast lots, and the lot singled out Jonah.

And each man said to his mate,“ Come, let’s cast lots so that we may find out on whose account this catastrophe has struck us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

And they said to one another,“ Come, let us cast lots, that we may know for whose cause this trouble has come upon us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

爾起、使民自潔、諭之曰、明日當自潔、蓋主以色列之天主如是云、以色列人、爾中有擅取歸我物之罪、故爾未除此罪、不能禦敵、詰朝、爾各支派當至以掣籤、主所取之支派、必使各宗族至、主所取之宗族、必使各家至、主所取之家、必使各人至、主所取之人、乃擅取歸主物者、必以火焚燬其人與凡所有、緣背主之約、於以色列中行可憎之事、明日約書亞夙興、使以色列各支派至掣籤而取猶大支派、使猶大支派各宗族至而取謝拉宗族、使謝拉宗族各家至而取颯底家、使其家各人至而取猶大支派、謝拉曾孫颯底孫迦米子亞干、

彼此扶助、更相勉勵、曰、當壯贍、木工勉金工、以鎚治光者勉擊碪者、亦必言、莫若釬為善、以釘釘堅、使不搖撼、

主諭約書亞曰、爾起、何俯伏於此、

掃羅禱以色列天主人曰之、求主指示其實、於是掣籤、得掃羅與約拿單、民皆無與、掃羅曰、我與我子約拿單間、可再掣籤、乃得約拿單、

撒母耳使以色列各支派至掣籤得便雅憫支派、使便雅憫支派各族至掣籤、得瑪特利族、使瑪特利族至掣籤、得基士子掃羅、眾尋之而不得、

置籤於懷、懷或作器定事在乎主、

若爾不如是行、則獲罪於主、亦當知此罪必及爾身、

既釘之十字架、遂鬮分其衣、為應先知所言云、彼分我外服、鬮分我裏衣、有原文抄本無此三句

故時未至、爾勿擬議人、迨主降臨、彼將光照幽暗之隱事、且明顯中心之計謀、其時各由天主、必得所宜之褒獎、

滅迦南七族、乃鬮分其地、與之為業、

基甸既至、有一人以夢告同伴曰、我夢一大麥餅、轉入米甸營、轉至一幕、撞而覆之、幕乃傾倒、其同伴曰、此無他、乃以色列人約阿施子基甸之刀、天主必以米甸人與全軍軍或作營付於其手、

於是舉二人、一約瑟、稱巴撒巴、又稱猶斯都、一瑪提亞、眾祈禱曰、主識眾心、求示於此二人中、孰為爾所選、堪承此役與使徒之職、蓋猶大已棄此職而往其所矣、於是鬮之、得瑪提亞、遂與十一使徒同列焉、

我儕於基比亞人當如此行、必循鬮以往攻之、我儕在以色列諸支派中、百取十、千取百、萬取千、使為民備餱糧、待其來、則往攻便雅憫之基比亞、以懲其在以色列中所行醜惡之事、

分我外服、鬮我裏衣、

掃羅曰、惟爾民長、咸當來此、究察今日之罪因何故、或作今日誰干罪戾我指救以色列人永生之主而誓、犯罪者雖我子約拿單亦必死亡、民中無有應之者、

籲天主曰、莫以我為惡、主譴責我、求主示我何故、

亞哈隨魯王十二年正月、即尼散月、哈曼使人掣普珥、普珥即籤也、占何月何日為吉、自正月而下、占得十二月、即亞達月、

主之會眾如此云、爾今建一祭臺、叛逆主、離棄主、干犯以色列天主、爾曹犯此罪何意、昔崇拜毘珥、其罪豈小乎、主之會眾、雖已為此遭疫癘、我儕至今猶未盡脫之、今日爾曹又離棄主乎、今日爾曹叛逆主、恐明日主怒以色列會眾、爾所得為業之地、如以為不潔、則可歸主之地、即設主幕之地、得業於我儕中、但不可在主我天主祭臺之外、別建祭臺、叛逆主、並干犯我儕、昔謝拉後裔亞干、豈非因取歸主之物獲罪、而主怒臨及以色列會眾乎、獨彼一人、反不因其罪而死、獨彼一人反不因其罪而死或作且斯人因其罪不獨一人死亡○
