看哪，那创山，造风，将其心意指示人，使晨光变幽暗，踩行在地之高处的，他的名是耶和华—万军之神。

当南风微微吹起时，他们以为对目的地已有了把握，就起锚，贴近克里特开去。过了不久，有一股叫“友拉革罗”的东北巨风从岛上扑来，船被风抓住，无法顶风航行，我们只好任它漂流。我们贴着一个叫高大的小岛的背风岸急航，好不容易才保住了救生艇。既然把救生艇拉上来，他们就用缆索捆绑船底，又恐怕在赛耳底浅滩上搁浅，就落了篷，任船漂流。我们被风浪逼得很急，第二天众人就把货物抛在海里。第三天，他们又亲手把船上的器具抛弃了。许多天都没有看到太阳和星辰，又有狂风大浪催逼，我们获救的指望都放弃了。

摩西就向埃及地伸杖；整整一昼一夜，耶和华使东风刮在埃及地上，到了早晨，东风把蝗虫刮了来。

耶和华转变风向，使强劲的西风吹来，把蝗虫刮起，吹入红海；在埃及全境连一只也没有留下。
