他们有些人坐船出海，在大海上往来经商。他们见过耶和华的作为，和他在深海中所行的奇事。他一吩咐，狂风就刮起，海中的波浪也高扬。他们上到天上，下到深渊，他们的心因危难而惊慌。他们摇摇晃晃，东倒西歪，好像醉酒的人；他们的一切智慧都没有用了。于是他们在急难中呼求耶和华，他就拯救他们脱离困苦。他使狂风止息，海浪就平静无声。风平浪静了，他们就欢喜；他引领他们到他们所愿去的港口。愿人因耶和华的慈爱，和他向世人所行的奇事称谢他。

看哪！他造了山，创造了风，把他的心意告诉人；他使晨光变为黑暗，他的脚踏在地的高处，耶和华万军的神就是他的名。

忽然海上起了狂风，甚至船都被波涛掩盖，但耶稣却睡着了。他们走来把他叫醒，说：“主啊！救命啊！我们没命了！”耶稣却对他们说：“小信的人哪！为什么害怕呢？”他就起来斥责风和海，风浪就完全平静了。众人都惊奇，说：“这是什么人，连风和海也听从他？”

他使云雾从地极上升，发出闪电随雨而来，又从他的府库吹出风来。

有风从耶和华那里吹起，把鹌鹑由海面刮来，散落在营地；鹌鹑在营的四周，这边约有一天的路程，那边约有一天的路程，离地面约有一公尺。

你用风一吹，海就把他们淹没，他们就像铅一样沉在大水之中。

摩西向海伸手，耶和华就用极强的东风，一夜之间使海水退去；他使海变成干地，海水也分开了。

这时南风徐徐地吹来，他们以为风势有利，就起锚沿着克里特航行。可是过了不久，有一股名叫“友拉革罗”（“友拉革罗”意即“东北风”）的飓风，向岛上吹袭。船给风困住了，不能迎风前行，只好随着风向飘流。有一个小岛名叫高达，我们就在这岛的背风岸急航，好不容易才把救生艇拉住。水手把艇拉上来，用缆索绕过船身捆好。他们怕船在赛耳底搁浅，就收下船帆，任船飘流。风浪把我们颠簸得很厉害，第二天他们就把货物抛在海里，第三天又亲手把船上的用具扔掉。好几天，都看不见星星和太阳，狂风大浪催逼着我们，这样看来，我们连生还的希望都没有了。

摩西就向埃及地伸杖，整整的一日一夜，耶和华把东风吹在地上；到了早晨，东风把蝗虫吹来了。

耶和华转了非常强大的西风，把蝗虫吹起来了，投进红海里；在埃及全境，连一只蝗虫也没留下。
