The Lord will roar from Zion and thunder from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel.

The Lord will roar like a lion from Jerusalem. His voice will sound like thunder from Zion. The earth and the heavens will tremble. But the Lord will keep the people of Israel safe. He will be a place of safety for them.

住在至高者隱祕處的，將安居在全能者的蔭庇下。我要對耶和華說：「我的避難所、我的要塞、我的神，我依靠你！」

耶和華賜力量給他的子民，耶和華以平安祝福他的子民。

就在那時刻，發生了大地震，那城的十分之一倒塌了，在地震中死去的有七千人。其餘的人都感到害怕，把榮耀歸給天上的神。

隨後有閃電、聲音和雷鳴，又發生了大地震，自從地上有人以來，沒有發生過如此大、如此厲害的地震。

那時候，他的聲音震動了大地，但如今他應許說：「我不僅要再一次震動地，而且還要震動天。」

猶大的族長們心裡就說：『耶路撒冷的居民藉著萬軍之耶和華他們的神，成為我們的力量！』到那日，我必使猶大的族長們像木柴中的火盆，又像禾捆中燃燒的火把；他們將向左向右吞噬四圍所有的民族，但耶路撒冷的居民仍在耶路撒冷自己的地方居住。耶和華必首先拯救猶大的帳篷，為要使大衛家的榮耀和耶路撒冷居民的榮耀不超過猶大。到那日，耶和華必保護耶路撒冷的居民；他們中間軟弱的人在那日將如大衛，而大衛家將像神——像在他們前面耶和華的使者那樣。

我必使猶大家強盛，我要拯救約瑟家；我必使他們回歸，因為我憐憫他們；他們必像未曾被我拋棄過一樣，因為我是耶和華他們的神，我必應允他們。

我必使他們因耶和華而強盛，他們必奉耶和華的名而行。」

我的公義臨近了，我的救恩已經發出，我的膀臂必審判萬民。眾海島都等候我，期盼我的膀臂。你們要向天舉目，要俯視大地；因為諸天必像煙雲一樣消散，大地必像衣服那樣漸漸破舊，其上的居民必如蚊蟲死去；但我的救恩必存到永遠，我的公義也不衰殘。

隨後，神在天上的聖所開了，他的約櫃在他聖所中顯現。接著有閃電、聲音、雷鳴、地震和大冰雹。
