其所至之處、前若火焚、後若炎燬、未來之先、地如伊甸園、既去之後、地變荒墟、無有能避之者、

Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste— nothing escapes them.

Like fire they eat up everything in their path. Behind them it looks as if flames have burned the land. In front of them the land is like the Garden of Eden. Behind them it is a dry and empty desert. Nothing escapes them.

耶和華神在東方的伊甸栽了一個園子，把所造的人安置在那裏。

我必以旋風將他們吹散到素不認識的萬國中。他們離開以後，地就荒涼，無人來往經過；他們使美好之地荒涼了。」

耶和華啊，我向你求告，因為有火吞噬野地的草場，火焰燒盡田野的樹木。田野的走獸切慕你，因為溪水乾涸，火吞噬了野地的草場。

蝗蟲遮滿地面，地上一片黑暗。牠們吃盡了地上一切的植物和冰雹過後所剩樹上的果子。埃及全地，無論是樹木，是田間的植物，連一點綠的也沒有留下。

遮滿地面，甚至地也看不見了。牠們要吃那冰雹後所剩，就是留給你們的；並且要吃那生長在田間的一切樹木。

我們的神要來，絕不閉口；有烈火在他面前吞滅，有暴風在他四圍颳起。

神園中的香柏樹不能遮蔽它；松樹不及它的枝子，楓樹不及它的枝條，神園中的樹都沒有它榮美。我使它枝條繁多，極為榮美；在神的園中，伊甸所有的樹都嫉妒它。」

羅得舉目，看見約旦河整個平原，直到瑣珥，都是水源充足之地。在耶和華未毀滅所多瑪、蛾摩拉以前，那地好像耶和華的園子，又像埃及地。

他一吩咐，就有蝗蟲蝻子上來，不計其數，吃光他們地上各樣的菜蔬，吞盡他們田地的出產。

他們必吃盡你的莊稼和糧食，是你兒女該吃的；必吃盡你的牛羊，吃盡你的葡萄和無花果；又必用刀劍毀壞你所倚靠的堅固城。

剪蟲吃剩的，蝗蟲來吃；蝗蟲吃剩的，蝻子來吃；蝻子吃剩的，螞蚱來吃。醉酒的人哪，要清醒，要哭泣；好酒的人哪，都要為甜酒哀號，因為酒從你們的口中斷絕了。有一隊蝗蟲，強盛且不可數，上來侵犯我的地；牠的牙齒如獅子的牙齒，如母獅的大牙。牠毀壞我的葡萄樹，撕裂我的無花果樹，剝光又丟棄，使枝條露白。

主耶和華又指示我一件事，看哪，主耶和華命火施行審判，火就吞滅深淵，燒盡產業。
