But I will remove far off from you the northern[ army], and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

我要使北方来的军队远离你们；我要把他们驱逐到干旱荒凉之地，他们的前队赶入东海，他们的后队赶入西海；并且他们的臭气上升，他们的腥味上腾，因为耶和华行了大事。

『我卻要使北方的蝗蟲隊遠離你們；我必趕逐牠們到乾旱荒涼之地，使其前隊入東海，其後隊入西海；使其臭氣上升，其腥味上騰，因為牠們幹了大壞事了。

我將移北軍遠離爾、驅至旱乾荒蕪之地、前鋒入於東海、後隊入於西海、其臭上升、其腥上騰、以其行大事也、

敵人至自北方、妄自尊大、其前茅則向東海、其後勁則向西海、我必掃除之、驅逐於曠野、使其臭氣流布、腥聞於上、

惟彼北軍、北軍或作從北而來之軍我將使之遠離爾、我驅逐於旱乾沙漠之地、前隊向東海、後隊向西海、既行大害、其臭流布、其腥騰空、

“ I will drive the northern horde far from you, pushing it into a parched and barren land; its eastern ranks will drown in the Dead Sea and its western ranks in the Mediterranean Sea. And its stench will go up; its smell will rise.” Surely he has done great things!

“ I will drive far away from you the army that comes from the north. I will send some of its forces into a dry and empty land. Its eastern troops will drown in the Dead Sea. Its western troops will drown in the Mediterranean Sea. Their dead bodies will stink.” The Lord has done great things.

“ I will remove the northerner far from you, and drive him into a parched and desolate land, his vanguard into the eastern sea, and his rear guard into the western sea; the stench and foul smell of him will rise, for he has done great things.

I will drive away these armies from the north. I will send them into the parched wastelands. Those in the front will be driven into the Dead Sea, and those at the rear into the Mediterranean. The stench of their rotting bodies will rise over the land.” Surely the Lord has done great things!

I will drive the northerner far from you and banish him to a dry and desolate land, his front ranks into the Dead Sea, and his rear guard into the Mediterranean Sea. His stench will rise; yes, his rotten smell will rise, for he has done astonishing things.

But I will remove the northern army far from you, And I will drive it into a dry and desolate land, Its advance guard into the eastern sea, And its rear guard into the western sea. And its stench will ascend and its odor of decay will come up, Because it has done great things.”

“ But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odor will rise, Because he has done monstrous things.”

but I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive it into a land barren and desolate, its forepart into the eastern sea, and its hinder part into the western sea; and its stench shall come up, and its ill savor shall come up, because it hath done great things.

I will drive the northerner far from you and banish him to a dry and desolate land, his front ranks into the Dead Sea, and his rear guard into the Mediterranean Sea. His stench will rise; yes, his rotten smell will rise, for he has done catastrophic things.

I will remove the one from the north far from you. I will drive him out to a dry and desolate place. Those in front will be driven eastward into the Dead Sea, and those in back westward into the Mediterranean Sea. His stench will rise up as a foul smell.” Indeed, the LORD has accomplished great things.

But I will remove the northern army far away from you, and will drive it into a barren and desolate land, its front into the eastern sea, and its back into the western sea; and its stench will come up, and its bad smell will rise.” Surely he has done great things.

And it shall be in that day,[ that] living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be.

I have sent among you the pestilence after the manner of Egypt: your young men have I slain with the sword, and have taken away your horses; and I have made the stink of your camps to come up unto your nostrils: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.

Every place whereon the soles of your feet shall tread shall be yours: from the wilderness and Lebanon, from the river, the river Euphrates, even unto the uttermost sea shall your coast be.

Their slain also shall be cast out, and their stink shall come up out of their carcases, and the mountains shall be melted with their blood.

And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel[ by] Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And[ this is] the east side.

And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.

Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.

A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it,[ even] to the years of many generations.A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land[ is] as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.The appearance of them[ is] as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and[ when] they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp[ is] very great: for[ he is] strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD[ is] great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.Yea, all the people of the land shall bury[ them]; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall be glorified, saith the Lord GOD.And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of seven months shall they search.And the passengers[ that] pass through the land, when[ any] seeth a man’s bone, then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.And also the name of the city[ shall be] Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.

Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river[ were] very many trees on the one side and on the other.Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea:[ which being] brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.Awake, ye drunkards, and weep; and howl, all ye drinkers of wine, because of the new wine; for it is cut off from your mouth.For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth[ are] the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion.

And Hazael said, But what,[ is] thy servant a dog, that he should do this great thing? And Elisha answered, The LORD hath shewed me that thou[ shalt be] king over Syria.
