你们要召集民众，使会众分别为圣；招聚老人，聚集孩童，和在怀中吃奶的婴孩；让新郎从新房出来，新妇从内室出来。

Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber.

Bring them together. Set all of them apart to me. Bring together the elders. Gather the children and the babies who are still nursing. Let the groom leave his bedroom. Let the bride leave their marriage bed.

那时全犹大的人，连他们的婴孩、妻子和儿女，都站在耶和华面前。

夫妻不可彼此亏负，除非为了要专心祷告，双方才可以同意暂时分房。以后仍要同房，免得撒但趁着你们情不自禁的时候诱惑你们。

对他们说：“利未人哪，你们要听我的话；现在你们要自洁，又要洁净耶和华你们列祖的神的殿，把污秽之物从圣所中除去。

又叫那些亲近耶和华的祭司分别为圣，恐怕耶和华忽然击杀他们。”

他回答：“是为平安来的。我来是要向耶和华献祭。你们要自洁，与我一同参加献祭的筵席。”撒母耳使耶西和他的儿子自洁，邀请他们来参加献祭的筵席。

耶和华对摩西说：“你到人民那里去，要他们今天明天分别为圣，又要他们洗净自己的衣服；

轮流设宴的日子一过，约伯就差人去叫他们自洁。他清早起来，按他们的数目献上燔祭。因为他心里想：“说不定孩子犯了罪，心中亵渎了神。”约伯经常这样作。

他对人民说：“第三天，你们要预备好了；不可亲近女人。”

因为会众中有很多人还没有自洁，所以利未人必须为所有不洁的人宰杀逾越节的羊羔，使他们在耶和华面前成为圣洁。

到那日，耶路撒冷必有极大的哀哭，像在米吉多平原的哈达临门的哀哭一样。全地都要哀哭，一家一家独在一处哀哭。大卫家独在一处，他们的妇女也独在一处；拿单家独在一处，他们的妇女也独在一处；利未家独在一处，他们的妇女也独在一处；示每家独在一处，他们的妇女也独在一处；其余的各家都是一家一家独在一处，他们的妇女也独在一处。”

你起来，要人民自洁，对他们说：‘你们要自洁，预备明天；因为耶和华以色列的神这样说：以色列啊！你们中间有那当毁灭的物；除非你们把那当毁灭的物从你们中间除去，你们在仇敌的面前就不能站立得住。

太阳如同新郎出洞房，又像勇士欢欢喜喜地跑路。

你们要把禁食的日子分别为圣，召开严肃会，聚集众长老和国中所有的居民，到你们的神耶和华的殿里，向耶和华呼求。

他又传谕全尼尼微，说：“王和大臣有令：‘人、畜、牛、羊，都不准尝什么，不准吃，也不准喝。不论人畜，都要披上麻衣；各人要恳切呼求神，悔改，离开恶行，摒弃手中的强暴。

耶稣回答：“新郎跟宾客在一起的时候，宾客怎能哀痛呢？但到了时候，新郎就要从他们中间被取去，那时他们就要禁食了。

“今日你们全都站在耶和华你们的神面前；你们的首领、族长、长老、官长和以色列所有的男子，你们的小孩、妻子和在你营中的寄居者，以及为你们劈柴挑水的人，都站在耶和华你们的神面前，

你们要宰逾越节的羊羔，洁净自己，为你们的亲族预备一切，遵守耶和华藉摩西吩咐的话。”

最后把作赎罪祭的公山羊，牵到王和会众面前，王和会众就按手在公山羊的身上。祭司宰了公山羊，把血洒在祭坛上作赎罪祭，为所有以色列人赎罪；因为王曾经吩咐要为所有以色列人献上燔祭和赎罪祭。
