Gather the people, consecrate the assembly; bring together the elders, gather the children, those nursing at the breast. Let the bridegroom leave his room and the bride her chamber.

Bring them together. Set all of them apart to me. Bring together the elders. Gather the children and the babies who are still nursing. Let the groom leave his bedroom. Let the bride leave their marriage bed.

犹大人与他们的妻子、儿女和婴孩都站在耶和华面前。

夫妻不可亏负彼此的需要，除非双方同意，才可以暂时分房，以便专心祈祷。以后，二人仍要恢复正常的夫妻生活，免得撒旦趁你们情不自禁的时候引诱你们。

对他们说：“利未人啊，请听我说！现在你们要洁净自己，也要洁净你们祖先的上帝耶和华的殿，除去圣所中的污秽之物。

吩咐到我面前来的祭司要洁净自己，免得我忽然出来击杀他们。”

撒母耳答道：“是的，为平安而来，我是来向耶和华献祭的。你们要洁净自己，然后来和我一起献祭。”撒母耳为耶西及其众子行过洁净礼后，便邀请他们参加献祭。

耶和华对摩西说：“你现在回到他们那里，吩咐他们今天和明天要洁净自己，洗净衣服，

宴会的日子结束后，约伯便派人召来他的儿女，为他们行洁净礼。他清早起来，为他们每个人献上燔祭，因为他想：“也许我的孩子们犯了罪，心中亵渎了上帝。”约伯常常这样做。

又吩咐他们说：“到后天一切都要准备好，这期间你们不可亲近女人。”

因为会众中间有许多人没有洁净自己，利未人就为所有不洁之人宰逾越节的羊羔献给耶和华。

到那天，耶路撒冷必一片哀声，犹如米吉多平原的哈达临门的哀声。境内家家户户都必哀哭。大卫家的男子在一处，女子在一处；拿单家的男子在一处，女子在一处；利未家的男子在一处，女子在一处；示每家的男子在一处，女子在一处。其余各家也都哀哭，男女分开。

起来吧！去吩咐民众洁净自己，让他们为明天洁净自己，因为以色列的上帝耶和华这样说，‘以色列啊！你们中间有本该毁灭的东西，你们不除掉这些东西就无法抵挡敌人。

太阳出来时，如步出洞房的新郎，又如欢然奔跑赛程的健儿。

你们要定一个禁食的日子，举行庄严的聚会，召集全国的长老和人民，到你们的上帝耶和华的殿中，向耶和华呼求。

王又向全城颁布命令，说：“王和大臣有令，所有的人都必须禁食，牛羊牲畜都不许吃草也不许喝水。人和牲畜都必须披上麻衣，众人要向上帝恳切呼求，改邪归正，停止作恶。

耶稣对他们说：“新郎和宾客还在一起的时候，宾客怎能悲伤呢？但有一天新郎将被带走，那时他们就要禁食了。

“今天，你们全都站在你们的上帝耶和华面前，包括你们的族长、长老、官员、所有以色列男子、你们的孩子、妻子和寄居在你们中间为你们砍柴挑水的外族人，

你们要宰杀逾越节的羊羔，洁净自己，为你们的弟兄做好准备，依照耶和华借摩西所吩咐的去行。”

有人把作赎罪祭的公山羊牵到王和会众面前，他们就将手按在公山羊身上。祭司宰了公山羊，把血洒在坛上作赎罪祭，为所有以色列人赎罪，因为王吩咐要为所有以色列人献上燔祭和赎罪祭。
