What the locust swarm has left the great locusts have eaten; what the great locusts have left the young locusts have eaten; what the young locusts have left other locusts have eaten.

The giant locusts have eaten what the common locusts have left. The young locusts have eaten what the giant locusts have left. And other locusts have eaten what the young locusts have left.

What the cutting locust left, the swarming locust has eaten. What the swarming locust left, the hopping locust has eaten, and what the hopping locust left, the destroying locust has eaten.

After the cutting locusts finished eating the crops, the swarming locusts took what was left! After them came the hopping locusts, and then the stripping locusts, too!

That which the palmer- worm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the canker- worm eaten; and that which the canker- worm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten.

昔我遣我之大軍以害爾、即蝗與小蝗與大蝗與螽、數年食爾禾稼、今我必償爾、

我使爾禾稼、為風所暴、細弱枯槁、爾諸園囿、葡萄園、無花果樹、油果樹、被蝗食盡、爾猶不歸誠於我、此乃主所言、

主一發命、蝗蟲飛集、且有蚱蜢不計其數、

民必斂盡爾之輜重、如蝗之食禾、疾趨而奪之、如蚱蜢疾飛、

爾之樹木、及爾地之所產、蚱蜢盡食之、

如我使天閉塞而不降雨、或使蝗蝻食土產、或使疫癘流行我民中、

萬有之主指己而誓曰、我必使敵如蝗之多、遍滿爾中、號呼攻爾、○

有蝗自煙出徧於地、有賜之以權傷人如地上之蠍、蝗又奉命勿傷地之菜蔬青草及諸樹木、惟傷額無天主印誌之人、但不許蝗殺之、第苦之五月、其苦如人之受蠍螫然、斯時人將求死不得、欲死而死避之、蝗狀如馬、備以往戰、首若戴金冕、其容如人之容、

主命摩西曰、爾舉手指伊及地、招蝗遍集、入伊及四境、凡地所長之物、未毀於雹者、盡為所食、摩西以杖指伊及國、主令東風一晝一夜吹於伊及地、明晨東風吹蝗至、蝗至伊及遍地、落於四境、極為眾多、往時未有如此之蝗、後亦必無如是者、蝗掩蔽於地、地為之黑、田之所產、與樹之所生、未毀於雹者盡食之、伊及遍地、樹上及田間青綠無遺、
