What the locust swarm has left the great locusts have eaten; what the great locusts have left the young locusts have eaten; what the young locusts have left other locusts have eaten.

The giant locusts have eaten what the common locusts have left. The young locusts have eaten what the giant locusts have left. And other locusts have eaten what the young locusts have left.

What the cutting locust left, the swarming locust has eaten. What the swarming locust left, the hopping locust has eaten, and what the hopping locust left, the destroying locust has eaten.

After the cutting locusts finished eating the crops, the swarming locusts took what was left! After them came the hopping locusts, and then the stripping locusts, too!

What the devouring locust has left, the swarming locust has eaten; what the swarming locust has left, the young locust has eaten; and what the young locust has left, the destroying locust has eaten.

What the gnawing locust has left, the swarming locust has eaten; And what the swarming locust has left, the creeping locust has eaten; And what the creeping locust has left, the stripping locust has eaten.

What the chewing locust left, the swarming locust has eaten; What the swarming locust left, the crawling locust has eaten; And what the crawling locust left, the consuming locust has eaten.

That which the palmer- worm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the canker- worm eaten; and that which the canker- worm hath left hath the caterpillar eaten.

What the devouring locust has left, the swarming locust has eaten; what the swarming locust has left, the young locust has eaten; and what the young locust has left, the destroying locust has eaten.

That which the palmerworm hath left hath the locust eaten; and that which the locust hath left hath the cankerworm eaten; and that which the cankerworm hath left hath the caterpiller eaten.

What the gazam-locust left the‘ arbeh-locust consumed, what the‘ arbeh-locust left the yeleq-locust consumed, and what the yeleq-locust left the hasil-locust consumed!

What the swarming locust has left, the great locust has eaten. What the great locust has left, the grasshopper has eaten. What the grasshopper has left, the caterpillar has eaten.

“ I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten— the great locust and the young locust, the other locusts and the locust swarm— my great army that I sent among you. (niv)

“ Many times I struck your gardens and vineyards, destroying them with blight and mildew. Locusts devoured your fig and olive trees, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord. (niv)

He spoke, and the locusts came, grasshoppers without number; (niv)

Your plunder, O nations, is harvested as by young locusts; like a swarm of locusts people pounce on it. (niv)

If you refuse to let them go, I will bring locusts into your country tomorrow. (niv)

He gave their crops to the grasshopper, their produce to the locust. (niv)

You will sow much seed in the field but you will harvest little, because locusts will devour it. (niv)

This is what the Sovereign Lord showed me: He was preparing swarms of locusts after the king’s share had been harvested and just as the late crops were coming up. (niv)

“ When famine or plague comes to the land, or blight or mildew, locusts or grasshoppers, or when enemies besiege them in any of their cities, whatever disaster or disease may come, (niv)

Swarms of locusts will take over all your trees and the crops of your land. (niv)

“ When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, (niv)

The Lord Almighty has sworn by himself: I will surely fill you with troops, as with a swarm of locusts, and they will shout in triumph over you. (niv)

And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth.They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads.They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes.During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. (niv)

By morning the wind had brought the locusts;they invaded all Egypt and settled down in every area of the country in great numbers. Never before had there been such a plague of locusts, nor will there ever be again.They covered all the ground until it was black. They devoured all that was left after the hail— everything growing in the fields and the fruit on the trees. Nothing green remained on tree or plant in all the land of Egypt. (niv)

There the fire will consume you; the sword will cut you down— they will devour you like a swarm of locusts. Multiply like grasshoppers, multiply like locusts!You have increased the number of your merchants till they are more numerous than the stars in the sky, but like locusts they strip the land and then fly away.Your guards are like locusts, your officials like swarms of locusts that settle in the walls on a cold day— but when the sun appears they fly away, and no one knows where. “ Lift up a banner in the land! Blow the trumpet among the nations! Prepare the nations for battle against her; summon against her these kingdoms: Ararat, Minni and Ashkenaz. Appoint a commander against her; send up horses like a swarm of locusts. (niv)
