耆老歟、爾其聽此、斯土居民歟、爾其傾耳、當爾之日、或爾列祖之日、有此事乎、

長老居民、尚其聽之哉、我將有言、乃爾父及今所未聞也、

老者當聽、斯地之居民、尚其傾耳、將有一災、爾曹在世之日、爾祖在世之日、未有如是者、未有如是者原文作曾有如是者乎

祭司啊，你們要聽這話！以色列家啊，你們要留心聽！王的家啊，你們要側耳而聽！因為審判必臨到你們，因你們曾是米斯巴地的捕鳥機，是他泊山上張開的網羅。

那日是黑暗幽冥的日子，是密雲漆黑的日子。有一隊眾多強盛的民來到，好像晨光滿布群山；這樣的事從前沒有發生過，以後直到萬代，也不會發生。

請你查問前幾代，留意他們列祖所查究的。

哀哉！那日大而可畏，無可比擬；這是雅各受苦的時期，但他必被救出來。’”

有耳的，就應當聽。”

雅各家的首領，你們要聽這個，以色列家的官長，你們也要聽；你們厭惡公平，屈枉正直，

我們中間有白頭髮的，又有年紀老的，年歲比你的父親還大。

你們要把禁食的日子分別為聖，召開嚴肅會，聚集眾長老和國中所有的居民，到你們的神耶和華的殿裡，向耶和華呼求。

“那時保護你同胞的偉大護衛天使米迦勒必站起來；並且必有患難的時期，是立國以來直到那時未曾有過的。那時你的同胞中名字記錄在冊上的，都必得拯救。

撒瑪利亞山上的巴珊母牛啊！要聽這話；你們欺負貧窮人，壓迫窮苦人，又對自己的丈夫說：“拿酒來，給我們飲用。”

“你問問在你以前過去的日子，自從神創造人在地上以來，從天這邊到天那邊，有沒有人行過這樣的大事，聽過像這樣的事呢？有沒有一個民族聽見神在火中說話的聲音，像你聽見的一樣，還能活著呢？有沒有一位神嘗試藉著試驗、神蹟、奇事、戰爭、大能的手和伸出來的膀臂，以及大而可畏的事，把一國的人民從別的國中領出來，像耶和華你們的神在埃及，在你們面前為你們所作的一切事呢？這是要顯明給你看，使你知道，只有耶和華是神；除了他以外，再沒有別的神。

“愚昧無知的民哪！你們有眼不能看，有耳不能聽；你們應當聽這話：

以色列人哪！你們要聽耶和華的話。耶和華要與這地的居民爭辯，因為在這地上沒有誠實，沒有慈愛，也沒有認識神的知識；

萬民哪！你們都要聽；地和地上所遍滿的，你們要聆聽；主耶和華要指證你們的不是，主必從他的聖殿指證你們的不是。

以色列人哪！要聽耶和華攻擊你們的這些話，就是攻擊他從埃及地領上來的以色列全家，說：

聖靈向眾教會所說的話，有耳的就應當聽。得勝的，我必定把神樂園裡生命樹的果子賜給他吃。’

我說：“雅各的首領，你們要聽，以色列家的官長，你們也要聽；難道你們不知道公平嗎？

你們說：老年的有智慧，長壽的有聰明。

以色列家啊！要聽這話，就是我為你們唱的輓歌：

惡人為甚麼總可以存活，活到老，而且財勢強大？

“耶和華必使災難的日子臨到你和你的人民，以及你的父家，自從以法蓮脫離猶大以來，未曾有過這樣的日子，就是亞述王的入侵。”

萬民哪！你們要聽這話；世上的居民哪！你們要留心聽。

列國啊，要近前來聽！眾民哪，要留心聽！地和地上所充滿的，世界和其中所出的一切，都要聽！

因為那時必有大災難，這是從世界的開始到現在未曾有過的，以後也必不會再有。
