Put on sackcloth, you priests, and mourn; wail, you who minister before the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister before my God; for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.

Priests, put on the clothing of sadness and mourn. Cry, you who serve at the altar. Come, you who serve my God in the temple. Spend the night dressed in the clothes of sadness. Weep because no one brings grain offerings and drink offerings to the house of your God anymore.

Put on sackcloth and lament, O priests; wail, O ministers of the altar. Go in, pass the night in sackcloth, O ministers of my God! Because grain offering and drink offering are withheld from the house of your God.

我的民哪，你當哀號，像處女腰束麻布，為幼年的丈夫哀號。素祭和奠祭從耶和華的殿中斷絕；事奉耶和華的祭司都悲哀。

因此，你們當腰束麻布，大聲哀號，因為耶和華的烈怒沒有向我們轉消。

尼尼微人信服神，便宣告禁食，從最大的到至小的都穿麻衣。這信息傳到尼尼微王的耳中，他就下了寶座，脫下朝服，披上麻布，坐在灰中。他又使人遍告尼尼微通城，說：「王和大臣有令，人不可嘗甚麼，牲畜、牛羊不可吃草，也不可喝水。人與牲畜都當披上麻布；人要切切求告神。各人回頭離開所行的惡道，丟棄手中的強暴。

亞哈聽見這話，就撕裂衣服，禁食，身穿麻布，睡臥也穿着麻布，並且緩緩而行。

事奉耶和華的祭司要在廊子和祭壇中間哭泣，說：耶和華啊，求你顧惜你的百姓，不要使你的產業受羞辱，列邦管轄他們。為何容列國的人說：「他們的神在哪裏」呢？

我要為山嶺哭泣悲哀，為曠野的草場揚聲哀號；因為都已乾焦，甚至無人經過。人也聽不見牲畜鳴叫，空中的飛鳥和地上的野獸都已逃去。

要用麻布束腰，被戰兢所蓋；各人臉上羞愧，頭上光禿。

因為這話所指的人本屬別的支派，那支派裏從來沒有一人伺候祭壇。我們的主分明是從猶大出來的；但這支派，摩西並沒有提到祭司。

他叫我們能承當這新約的執事，不是憑着字句，乃是憑着精意；因為那字句是叫人死，精意是叫人活。

所以大衛為這孩子懇求神，而且禁食，進入內室，終夜躺在地上。

人應當以我們為基督的執事，為神奧祕事的管家。

你們豈不知為聖事勞碌的就吃殿中的物嗎？伺候祭壇的就分領壇上的物嗎？

反倒在各樣的事上表明自己是神的用人，就如在許多的忍耐、患難、窮乏、困苦、

要把這些東西做的素祭帶到耶和華面前，並奉給祭司，帶到壇前。祭司要從素祭中取出作為紀念的，燒在壇上，是獻與耶和華為馨香的火祭。素祭所剩的要歸給亞倫和他的子孫。這是獻與耶和華的火祭中為至聖的。

這些是在月朔的燔祭和同獻的素祭，並常獻的燔祭與同獻的素祭，以及照例同獻的奠祭以外，都作為馨香的火祭獻給耶和華。」

他們是基督的僕人嗎？（我說句狂話，）我更是。我比他們多受勞苦，多下監牢，受鞭打是過重的，冒死是屢次有的。

你們倒要稱為耶和華的祭司；人必稱你們為我們神的僕役。你們必吃用列國的財物，因得他們的榮耀自誇。
