This is what the Lord says, He who is your Redeemer, and the one who formed you from the womb:“ I, the Lord, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself And spreading out the earth alone,

It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to live in.

Can you, with Him, spread out the skies, Strong as a cast metal mirror?

The pronouncement of the word of the Lord concerning Israel: The Lord who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of a person within him, declares:

And in the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea.When the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were terrified, and said,“ It is a ghost!” And they cried out in fear.But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.”Peter responded and said to Him,“ Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”And He said,“ Come!” And Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water, and came toward Jesus.But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and when he began to sink, he cried out, saying,“ Lord, save me!”

This is what you shall say to them:“ The gods that did not make the heavens and the earth will perish from the earth and from under these heavens.”

And I said,‘ As far as this point you shall come, but no farther; And here your proud waves shall stop’?

The floods have lifted up, Lord, The floods have lifted up their voice, The floods lift up their pounding waves.More than the sounds of many waters, Than the mighty breakers of the sea, The Lord on high is mighty.

Then God said,“ Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters.”God made the expanse, and separated the waters that were below the expanse from the waters that were above the expanse; and it was so.

This is what God the Lord says, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread out the earth and its offspring, Who gives breath to the people on it And spirit to those who walk in it:

Then, when they had rowed about twenty five or thirty stadia, they* saw Jesus walking on the sea and coming near the boat; and they were frightened.

Your way was in the sea And Your paths in the mighty waters, And Your footprints were not known.

By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their lights.

“ Have you entered the springs of the sea, And walked in the depth of the ocean?
