He would crush me with a storm and multiply my wounds for no reason.

He would send a storm to crush me. He’d increase my wounds without any reason.

For he crushes me with a tempest and multiplies my wounds without cause;

For he attacks me with a storm and repeatedly wounds me without cause.

He batters me with a whirlwind and multiplies my wounds without cause.

For He bruises me with a storm And multiplies my wounds without cause.

Should I lie concerning my right? My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.’

The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon.

Also I will make justice the measuring line, And righteousness the plummet; The hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, And the waters will overflow the hiding place.

Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; All Your waves and billows have gone over me.

I was at ease, but He has shattered me; He also has taken me by my neck, and shaken me to pieces; He has set me up for His target,

So pursue them with Your tempest, And frighten them with Your storm.

Jesus answered,“ Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.

But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law,‘ They hated Me without a cause.’

and a messenger came to Job and said,“ The oxen were plowing and the donkeys feeding beside them,when the Sabeans raided them and took them away— indeed they have killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”While he was still speaking, another also came and said,“ The fire of God fell from heaven and burned up the sheep and the servants, and consumed them; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”While he was still speaking, another also came and said,“ The Chaldeans formed three bands, raided the camels and took them away, yes, and killed the servants with the edge of the sword; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”While he was still speaking, another also came and said,“ Your sons and daughters were eating and drinking wine in their oldest brother’s house,and suddenly a great wind came from across the wilderness and struck the four corners of the house, and it fell on the young people, and they are dead; and I alone have escaped to tell you!”

A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench, Till He sends forth justice to victory;

So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord, and struck Job with painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.

Behold, a whirlwind of the Lord has gone forth in fury— A violent whirlwind! It will fall violently on the head of the wicked.

So they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief was very great.

You lift me up to the wind and cause me to ride on it; You spoil my success.

Indeed, let no one who waits on You be ashamed; Let those be ashamed who deal treacherously without cause.
