And even if I summoned him and he responded, I’m not sure he would listen to me.

Even if I summoned him and he responded, I do not believe he would give me a hearing.

Suppose I called out to him and he answered. I don’t believe he’d listen to me.

If I summoned him and he answered me, I would not believe that he was listening to my voice.

If I summoned him and he answered me, I do not believe he would pay attention to what I said.

If I called and He answered me, I could not believe that He was listening to my voice.

If I called and He answered me, I would not believe that He was listening to my voice.

If I had called, and he had answered me, Yet would I not believe that he hearkened unto my voice.

If I had not confessed the sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.But God did listen! He paid attention to my prayer.Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.

When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so overjoyed that, instead of opening the door, she ran back inside and told everyone,“ Peter is standing at the door!”“ You’re out of your mind!” they said. When she insisted, they decided,“ It must be his angel.”Meanwhile, Peter continued knocking. When they finally opened the door and saw him, they were amazed.

When the Lord brought back his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream!

But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears.

Still they stood there in disbelief, filled with joy and wonder. Then he asked them,“ Do you have anything here to eat?”

I love the Lord because he hears my voice and my prayer for mercy.Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!

So Moses told the people of Israel what the Lord had said, but they refused to listen anymore. They had become too discouraged by the brutality of their slavery.

“ Sir,” Gideon replied,“ if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? And where are all the miracles our ancestors told us about? Didn’t they say,‘ The Lord brought us up out of Egypt’? But now the Lord has abandoned us and handed us over to the Midianites.”

When they were discouraged, I smiled at them. My look of approval was precious to them.
