他彎了弓，立了我做箭靶子。

我的歎息代替我的食物；我的哀吼如水瀉出。

你的義氣好像高山；你的公道如同大深淵；永恆主啊，人和牲口你都救護。

『我也這樣；我不禁止我的口；我的靈在困苦中、我要說話；我的心在苦惱中、我要吐露哀怨。我，我哪是洋海，哪是大海獸，你竟設防來戒備我呀？

這人在別人面前歌唱說：「我犯了罪，屈枉了正直，卻沒有受該得的報應。

因為全能者的箭老刺着我，其毒素我的靈都喝盡了；上帝的恐嚇列陣攻擊我。

「我，我純潔、無罪過；我清白，我心裏無罪愆。

你若犯罪，你能行甚麼去損害上帝呢？你的過犯若增加，你能作甚麼去妨礙他呢？

萬軍之永恆主上帝啊，你向你人民的禱告冒煙發怒要到幾時呢？

但如今呢、你數點我的腳步，豈不窺察我的罪麼？

『你、惟獨你是永恆主；是你造了天、天上之天、和諸天的萬象，地和地上的萬物，海和海中的萬物；這一切都是你所保存的；天軍也都敬拜你。

我素來安逸，他拆裂了我，掐住我的脖子，把我摔碎；又立了我做他的箭靶子。他的弓箭手四面圍繞我；他破裂了我的腰腎，全不顧惜；把我的肝膽傾倒於地上。他把我打到有破口又有破口；如同勇士直闖來攻擊我。

你記錄了悲苦事來指責我，又使我承當我幼年的罪孽。

我若像人遮掩自己的過犯，將我自己的罪孽藏於胸中，
