世人維何、致爾大之、而注意焉、

且人在世、亦甚渺耳、何為加意眷顧之、

世人何足算、主竟視為大、置之於意中、

“ What is mankind that you make so much of them, that you give them so much attention,

“ What are human beings that you think so much of them? What are they that you pay so much attention to them?

What is man, that you make so much of him, and that you set your heart on him,

“ What are people, that you should make so much of us, that you should think of us so often?

What is a mere human, that you think so highly of him and pay so much attention to him?

What is man that You exalt him, And that You are concerned about him,

“ What is man, that You should exalt him, That You should set Your heart on him,

What is man, that thou shouldest magnify him, And that thou shouldest set thy mind upon him,

What is man, that You think so highly of him and pay so much attention to him?

What[ is] man, that thou shouldest magnify him? and that thou shouldest set thine heart upon him?

“ What is mankind that you make so much of them, and that you pay attention to them?

What is man, that you should magnify him, that you should set your mind on him,

Lord, what are human beings that you care for them, mere mortals that you think of them? (niv)

But there is a place where someone has testified:“ What is mankind that you are mindful of them, a son of man that you care for him? (niv)

what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? (niv)

If it were his intention and he withdrew his spirit and breath,all humanity would perish together and mankind would return to the dust. (niv)

Am I the sea, or the monster of the deep, that you put me under guard? (niv)
