“ Is there not a time of hard service for man on earth? Are not his days also like the days of a hired man?

“人生在世岂不像服劳役吗？他有生之年岂不像个雇工吗？

“人在世上怎能没有劳役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子吗？

人在世上豈無爭戰嗎？他的日子不像雇工人的日子嗎？

「人在世上豈無勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子嗎？

「人在世上豈無勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子嗎？

「人生在世豈不像服勞役嗎？他有生之年豈不像個雇工嗎？

“人在世上怎能沒有勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子嗎？

『人在世上哪裏沒有勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工人的日子麼？

人在於世、無戰爭乎、其日不猶傭人之日乎、

人生苦境終其年、猶工勞瘁畢其生。

人生於世、如在戰場、如傭工度日、

“ Do not mortals have hard service on earth? Are not their days like those of hired laborers?

Job continued,“ Don’t all human beings have to work hard on this earth? Aren’t their days like the days of hired workers?

“ Has not man a hard service on earth, and are not his days like the days of a hired hand?

“ Is not all human life a struggle? Our lives are like that of a hired hand,

Isn’t each person consigned to forced labor on earth? Are not his days like those of a hired worker?

“ Is a person not forced to labor on earth, And are his days not like the days of a hired worker?

Is there not a warfare to man upon earth? And are not his days like the days of a hireling?

Isn’t mankind consigned to forced labor on earth? Are not his days like those of a hired hand?

[ Is there] not an appointed time to man upon earth?[ are not] his days also like the days of an hireling?

“ Does not humanity have hard service on earth? Are not their days also like the days of a hired man?

“ Isn’t a man forced to labor on earth? Aren’t his days like the days of a hired hand?

“ Lord, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am.

Since his days are determined, The number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass.Look away from him that he may rest, Till like a hired man he finishes his day.

“ Oh, that You would hide me in the grave, That You would conceal me until Your wrath is past, That You would appoint me a set time, and remember me!If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my hard service I will wait, Till my change comes.

“ Go and tell Hezekiah,‘ Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father:“ I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; surely I will add to your days fifteen years.

Yet man is born to trouble, As the sparks fly upward.

No one has power over the spirit to retain the spirit, And no one has power in the day of death. There is no release from that war, And wickedness will not deliver those who are given to it.

Jesus answered,“ Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

“ For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.Now when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,and said to them,‘ You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right I will give you.’ So they went.Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did likewise.And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing idle, and said to them,‘ Why have you been standing here idle all day?’They said to him,‘ Because no one hired us.’ He said to them,‘ You also go into the vineyard, and whatever is right you will receive.’“ So when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward,‘ Call the laborers and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first.’And when those came who were hired about the eleventh hour, they each received a denarius.But when the first came, they supposed that they would receive more; and they likewise received each a denarius.And when they had received it, they complained against the landowner,saying,‘ These last men have worked only one hour, and you made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the heat of the day.’But he answered one of them and said,‘ Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same as to you.Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?’

For thus the Lord has said to me:“ Within a year, according to the year of a hired man, all the glory of Kedar will fail;

It shall not seem hard to you when you send him away free from you; for he has been worth a double hired servant in serving you six years. Then the Lord your God will bless you in all that you do.

Thus he shall reckon with him who bought him: The price of his release shall be according to the number of years, from the year that he was sold to him until the Year of Jubilee; it shall be according to the time of a hired servant for him.

“ Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, That her warfare is ended, That her iniquity is pardoned; For she has received from the LORD’s hand Double for all her sins.”
