“ Is a person not forced to labor on earth, And are his days not like the days of a hired worker?

“人在世上岂无争战吗？他的日子不像雇工人的日子吗？

“人在世上岂无劳役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子吗？

“人在世上岂无劳役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子吗？

“人生在世岂不像服劳役吗？他有生之年岂不像个雇工吗？

“人在世上怎能没有劳役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子吗？

人在世上豈無爭戰嗎？他的日子不像雇工人的日子嗎？

「人在世上豈無勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子嗎？

「人在世上豈無勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子嗎？

「人生在世豈不像服勞役嗎？他有生之年豈不像個雇工嗎？

“人在世上怎能沒有勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子嗎？

『人在世上哪裏沒有勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工人的日子麼？

人在於世、無戰爭乎、其日不猶傭人之日乎、

人生苦境終其年、猶工勞瘁畢其生。

人生於世、如在戰場、如傭工度日、

“ Do not mortals have hard service on earth? Are not their days like those of hired laborers?

Job continued,“ Don’t all human beings have to work hard on this earth? Aren’t their days like the days of hired workers?

“ Has not man a hard service on earth, and are not his days like the days of a hired hand?

“ Is not all human life a struggle? Our lives are like that of a hired hand,

Isn’t each person consigned to forced labor on earth? Are not his days like those of a hired worker?

“ Is there not a time of hard service for man on earth? Are not his days also like the days of a hired man?

Is there not a warfare to man upon earth? And are not his days like the days of a hireling?

Isn’t mankind consigned to forced labor on earth? Are not his days like those of a hired hand?

[ Is there] not an appointed time to man upon earth?[ are not] his days also like the days of an hireling?

“ Does not humanity have hard service on earth? Are not their days also like the days of a hired man?

“ Isn’t a man forced to labor on earth? Aren’t his days like the days of a hired hand?

“ Lord, let me know my end, And what is the extent of my days; Let me know how transient I am.

Since his days are determined, The number of his months is with You; And You have set his limits so that he cannot pass.Look away from him so that he may rest, Until he fulfills his day like a hired worker.

“ Oh that You would hide me in Sheol, That You would conceal me until Your wrath returns to You, That You would set a limit for me and remember me!If a man dies, will he live again? All the days of my struggle I will wait Until my relief comes.

“ Go and say to Hezekiah,‘ This is what the Lord, the God of your father David says:“ I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.

For man is born for trouble, As sparks fly upward.

No one has authority over the wind to restrain the wind, nor authority over the day of death; and there is no military discharge in the time of war, and evil will not save those who practice it.

Jesus replied,“ Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks during the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.But if anyone walks during the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

“ For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.When he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius for the day, he sent them into his vineyard.And he went out about the third hour and saw others standing idle in the marketplace;and to those he said,‘ You go into the vineyard also, and whatever is right, I will give you.’ And so they went.Again he went out about the sixth and the ninth hour, and did the same thing.And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing around; and he* said to them,‘ Why have you been standing here idle all day long?’They* said to him,‘ Because no one hired us.’ He* said to them,‘ You go into the vineyard too.’“ Now when evening came, the owner of the vineyard* said to his foreman,‘ Call the laborers and pay them their wages, starting with the last group to the first.’When those hired about the eleventh hour came, each one received a denarius.And so when those hired first came, they thought that they would receive more; but each of them also received a denarius.When they received it, they grumbled at the landowner,saying,‘ These who were hired last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day’s work and the scorching heat.’But he answered and said to one of them,‘ Friend, I am doing you no wrong; did you not agree with me for a denarius?Take what is yours and go; but I want to give to this last person the same as to you.Is it not lawful for me to do what I want with what is my own? Or is your eye envious because I am generous?’

For this is what the Lord said to me:“ In a year, as a hired worker would count it, all the splendor of Kedar will come to an end;

“ It shall not seem difficult for you when you set him free, because he has given you six years with double the service of a hired worker; so the Lord your God will bless you in whatever you do.

He then, with his purchaser, shall calculate from the year when he sold himself to him up to the year of jubilee; and the price of his sale shall correspond to the number of years calculated. It is like the days of a hired worker that he will be with him.

“ Speak kindly to Jerusalem; And call out to her, that her warfare has ended, That her guilt has been removed, That she has received of the Lord’s hand Double for all her sins.”
