“ Has not man a hard service on earth, and are not his days like the days of a hired hand?

“人在世上岂无争战吗？他的日子不像雇工人的日子吗？

“人在世上岂无劳役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子吗？

“人在世上岂无劳役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子吗？

“人生在世岂不像服劳役吗？他有生之年岂不像个雇工吗？

“人在世上怎能没有劳役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子吗？

人在世上豈無爭戰嗎？他的日子不像雇工人的日子嗎？

「人在世上豈無勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子嗎？

「人在世上豈無勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子嗎？

「人生在世豈不像服勞役嗎？他有生之年豈不像個雇工嗎？

“人在世上怎能沒有勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工的日子嗎？

『人在世上哪裏沒有勞役呢？他的日子不像雇工人的日子麼？

人在於世、無戰爭乎、其日不猶傭人之日乎、

人生苦境終其年、猶工勞瘁畢其生。

人生於世、如在戰場、如傭工度日、

“ Do not mortals have hard service on earth? Are not their days like those of hired laborers?

Job continued,“ Don’t all human beings have to work hard on this earth? Aren’t their days like the days of hired workers?

“ Is not all human life a struggle? Our lives are like that of a hired hand,

Isn’t each person consigned to forced labor on earth? Are not his days like those of a hired worker?

“ Is a person not forced to labor on earth, And are his days not like the days of a hired worker?

“ Is there not a time of hard service for man on earth? Are not his days also like the days of a hired man?

Is there not a warfare to man upon earth? And are not his days like the days of a hireling?

Isn’t mankind consigned to forced labor on earth? Are not his days like those of a hired hand?

[ Is there] not an appointed time to man upon earth?[ are not] his days also like the days of an hireling?

“ Does not humanity have hard service on earth? Are not their days also like the days of a hired man?

“ Isn’t a man forced to labor on earth? Aren’t his days like the days of a hired hand?

“ O Lord, make me know my end and what is the measure of my days; let me know how fleeting I am!

Since his days are determined, and the number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his limits that he cannot pass,look away from him and leave him alone, that he may enjoy, like a hired hand, his day.

Oh that you would hide me in Sheol, that you would conceal me until your wrath be past, that you would appoint me a set time, and remember me!If a man dies, shall he live again? All the days of my service I would wait, till my renewal should come.

“ Go and say to Hezekiah, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.

but man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upward.

No man has power to retain the spirit, or power over the day of death. There is no discharge from war, nor will wickedness deliver those who are given to it.

Jesus answered,“ Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.But if anyone walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.”

“ For the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.After agreeing with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.And going out about the third hour he saw others standing idle in the marketplace,and to them he said,‘ You go into the vineyard too, and whatever is right I will give you.’So they went. Going out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour, he did the same.And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing. And he said to them,‘ Why do you stand here idle all day?’They said to him,‘ Because no one has hired us.’ He said to them,‘ You go into the vineyard too.’And when evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman,‘ Call the laborers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last, up to the first.’And when those hired about the eleventh hour came, each of them received a denarius.Now when those hired first came, they thought they would receive more, but each of them also received a denarius.And on receiving it they grumbled at the master of the house,saying,‘ These last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day and the scorching heat.’But he replied to one of them,‘ Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?Take what belongs to you and go. I choose to give to this last worker as I give to you.Am I not allowed to do what I choose with what belongs to me? Or do you begrudge my generosity?’

For thus the Lord said to me,“ Within a year, according to the years of a hired worker, all the glory of Kedar will come to an end.

It shall not seem hard to you when you let him go free from you, for at half the cost of a hired worker he has served you six years. So the Lord your God will bless you in all that you do.

He shall calculate with his buyer from the year when he sold himself to him until the year of jubilee, and the price of his sale shall vary with the number of years. The time he was with his owner shall be rated as the time of a hired worker.

Speak tenderly to Jerusalem, and cry to her that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.
