“ But as for me, I would seek God. I would commit my cause to God,

“若是我，就向上帝求助，向祂陈明苦衷。

至于我，我必寻求神，向他陈明我的案件。

「至於我，我必尋求上帝，把我的事情交託給他。

「至於我，我必尋求神，把我的事情交託給他。

「若是我，就向上帝求助，向祂陳明苦衷。

至於我，我必尋求神，向他陳明我的案件。

『但是我呢、我總要尋求上帝，將我的事情託付於上帝；

若我、則必仰望上帝、以事託之、

是以必求上帝而赴訴焉。

若我、則必求天主、於天主前呈訴我事、

“ But if I were you, I would appeal to God; I would lay my cause before him.

“ If I were you, I’d make my appeal to God. I’d bring my case to be judged by him.

“ As for me, I would seek God, and to God would I commit my cause,

“ If I were you, I would go to God and present my case to him.

However, if I were you, I would appeal to God and would present my case to him.

“ But as for me, I would seek God, And I would make my plea before God,

“ But as for me, I would seek God, And to God I would commit my cause—

But as for me, I would seek unto God, And unto God would I commit my cause;

However, if I were you, I would appeal to God and would present my case to Him.

I would seek unto God, and unto God would I commit my cause:

“ But as for me, I would seek God, and to God I would set forth my case.

Call on me in the day of trouble. I will deliver you, and you will honor me.”

Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this:

“ Acquaint yourself with him, now, and be at peace. By it, good will come to you.

Therefore let them also who suffer according to the will of God in doing good entrust their souls to him, as to a faithful Creator.

When he was in distress, he begged Yahweh his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.He prayed to him; and he was entreated by him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that Yahweh was God.

You will make your prayer to him, and he will hear you. You will pay your vows.

When he was cursed, he didn’t curse back. When he suffered, he didn’t threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously.

For this cause I also suffer these things. Yet I am not ashamed, for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day.

My cry goes to God! Indeed, I cry to God for help, and for him to listen to me.In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord. My hand was stretched out in the night, and didn’t get tired. My soul refused to be comforted.

Then Jacob was greatly afraid and was distressed. He divided the people who were with him, and the flocks, and the herds, and the camels, into two companies;and he said,“ If Esau comes to the one company, and strikes it, then the company which is left will escape.”Jacob said,“ God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, Yahweh, who said to me,‘ Return to your country, and to your relatives, and I will do you good,’I am not worthy of the least of all the loving kindnesses, and of all the truth, which you have shown to your servant; for with just my staff I crossed over this Jordan; and now I have become two companies.Please deliver me from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau; for I fear him, lest he come and strike me and the mothers with the children.You said,‘ I will surely do you good, and make your offspring as the sand of the sea, which can’t be counted because there are so many.’”

If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.

Then Jonah prayed to Yahweh, his God, out of the fish’s belly.He said,“ I called because of my affliction to Yahweh. He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried. You heard my voice.For you threw me into the depths, in the heart of the seas. The flood was all around me. All your waves and your billows passed over me.I said,‘ I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’The waters surrounded me, even to the soul. The deep was around me. The weeds were wrapped around my head.I went down to the bottoms of the mountains. The earth barred me in forever: yet have you brought up my life from the pit, Yahweh my God.“ When my soul fainted within me, I remembered Yahweh. My prayer came in to you, into your holy temple.
