You will know that your children will be many, and your descendants like the grass of the earth.

You can be sure you will have a lot of children. They will be as many as the blades of grass on the earth.

Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table.That is the Lord’s blessing for those who fear him.May the Lord continually bless you from Zion. May you see Jerusalem prosper as long as you live.May you live to enjoy your grandchildren. May Israel have peace!

Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.Children born to a young man are like arrows in a warrior’s hands.How joyful is the man whose quiver is full of them! He will not be put to shame when he confronts his accusers at the city gates.

Then the Lord took Abram outside and said to him,“ Look up into the sky and count the stars if you can. That’s how many descendants you will have!”

Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed.
