It is He who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass sprout on the mountains.

Are there any among the idols of the nations who give rain? Or can the heavens grant showers? Is it not You, Lord our God? Therefore we wait for You, For You are the one who has done all these things.

They do not say in their heart,“ Let us now fear the Lord our God, Who gives rain in its season, Both the autumn rain and the spring rain, Who keeps for us The appointed weeks of the harvest.”

When He utters His voice, there is a roar of waters in the heavens, And He makes the clouds ascend from the end of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain, And brings out the wind from His storehouses.

You visit the earth and cause it to overflow; You greatly enrich it; The stream of God is full of water; You prepare their grain, for so You prepare the earth.You water its furrows abundantly, You settle its ridges, You soften it with showers, You bless its growth.You have crowned the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with fatness.

Which clouds pour down; They drip upon mankind abundantly.

“ Furthermore, I withheld the rain from you While there were still three months until harvest. Then I would send rain on one city, But on another city I would not send rain; One part would be rained on, While the part not rained on would dry up.

When He made a limit for the rain, And a course for the thunderbolt,

To bring rain on a land without people, On a desert without a person in it,To satisfy the waste and desolate land, And to make the seeds of grass to sprout?Does the rain have a father? Or who has fathered the drops of dew?
